  1. Ooh, cool idea! I have a few for Sweet Style: Normal Gala Rainbow Power Equestria Girls Equalised
  2. There have been so many great episodes this season, so this was pretty difficult! Castle Sweet Castle: This probably isn't going to be on most people's lists, but I really enjoyed it! The song was catchy, the character interactions and humour were great, and the ending was really sweet. Tanks For the Memories: A great Rainbow Dash episode that explored her emotional side, which is something we don't get to see too often. I really felt for her, and the emotions of the episode seemed very genuine. The song was fantastic as well. Rarity Investigates: This episode focused on my two favourite characters, which automatically made it awesome. I really liked the continuity and humour, and watching best pony being fabulous is always great. Crusaders of the Lost Mark: I've always been a fan of the CMC, and I liked Diamond Tiara even before her redemption, so I was extremely excited for this episode. I expected to see another side to Damond Tiara, but in addition to that we got a complete reformation, another musical episode and the CMC finally getting their cutiemarks! Needless to say, it completely exceeded my expectations and is without a doubt my favourite episode of the season. The Mane Attraction: I loved this episode. Rara was a great, interesting new character, and the story was really sweet. It was great to see an Applejack episode that didn't focus on her farm or family - while I love Applejack, the episodes that stray a bit from her usual theme always seem to be her strongest. Pinkie Pie's characterisation was spot on, and I loved the interactions between Applejack and Rarity. The Spectacle song was great, and I'm not going to lie - I completely jammed out to it. A fantastic way to finish the slice-of-life episodes for the season!
  3. I drew an EQG version of my OC a few months ago actually! Here she is:
  4. My advice is not to focus too much on the 'special abilities' of your character. Sure, flight and magic are pretty awesome, but if the only reason you want to make your OC a pegasus or unicorn is so that they can have cool powers, you're not really going about it in the right way. I always think that personality should come first - you shouldn't let your character be defined by what they can do, because in the end that doesn't mean anything if they're not believable. The best OCs are those that may not have the coolest abilities, but are well thought-out, unique and developed. I would actually suggest considering making your OC an earth pony, because it might push you out of your comfort zone a bit and allow you to really flesh out the important parts of them without being distracted by flight or magic. But it seems like you're quite keen on them being a unicorn or pegasus, so I'd say to just pick the one that fits your character the most. I don't know too much about them, so I can't really help you with that, but I think once you work out their talent it should be a bit easier to figure out. Just keep what I said in mind - don't let your character be defined by what they can do instead of who they are - and you should end up with a good character! Good luck with your OC, and I hope I helped you a bit! Don't be afraid to ask if you need help with anything else!
  5. @ Thank you so much! A new OC that I just finished! She doesn't have a name yet, but her special talent is having an exceptional understanding of colours and how they work together. She works as a personal stylist that specialises in accessories. c: Once I finish the last OC that I'm working on, my own 'mane six' will be complete!
  6. @ Thank you! Ooh, Dawn is nice! I'll definitely have to consider that one. @ Aww thank you so much! @@JonasDarkmane Ahh thank you so much, it means a lot! ;u;
  7. Thank you so much for the kind words! ;u;
  8. I have quite a few... Sweet Style (main OC) Ivy Swirl Daybreak Eventide I also have another one that I'm working on at the moment, but the picture isn't quite finished yet.
  9. Equestria Girls Sweet Style! This took agggees because I couldn't get the eyes and hands right, but I'm pretty happy overall.
  10. I definitely think he's a teenager maturity-wise - around the age of 15 maybe. I feel that he's older than the CMC, who I headcanon as about 12-13, and he is definitely younger than the mane six. While he does have his immature moments, he does have responsibilities and a fair degree of independence as you've mentioned, so I think 15 is a decent guess.
  11. Sure, why not? Sweet Style Ivy Swirl Daybreak Eventide
  12. A drawing for @ of our OCs together!
  13. What is your MBTI type? ESFJ Who is your favorite pony? Rarity Which pony are you most like? I'm a pretty even combination of Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity What type of pony is your ponysona? Unicorn If applicable, how do you contribute to the fandom? Fan art (occasionally)
  14. I don't mind Vinyl being mute. It's pretty cool actually. I've always liked the idea that she uses music to express herself, and I've never been a fan of her over-the-top fanon personality, so I think this is a very interesting direction for her character. Plus, I'm not really a fan of Nowacking's Vinyl voice. To be honest, I don't think I would have been to fussed either way though. I'm not big on background ponies.
  15. I don't think that Pony Creator is inherently bad. It's actually a very useful tool for experimenting with colour schemes and the overall feel of your OC before you develop them further. The problem is that too many people rely on Pony Creator. Yes, you can choose the colour scheme, the mane/tail style, the type of pony, accessories etc. But there are limitations, because the game only gives you a certain amount of options. Even if you think that your Pony Creator OC is unique, the reality is that someone else could coincidentally create exactly the same pony for themselves. The good thing about creating your own OC from scratch is that you have complete creative control. If you look at Pony Creator OC's you'll notice that so many of them have Rainbow Dash or Vinyl Scratch's mane and tail style, which severely affects the overall originality of the character. By designing your own pony, you will ensure that it is truly unique. I understand that not everyone is great at drawing, but there's no harm in at least giving it a try. I know for a fact that many people appreciate original drawings, regardless of how good they are, much more than Pony Creator OCs. If you at least get an original idea down on paper, I'm sure there will be someone willing to draw your character for you in all its glory.
  16. Rainbow Powered Sweet Style! I drew her a few weeks ago, but she was a contest entry so I waited for the contest to finish before posting her here.
  17. Hearth's Warming Eve. I don't really have anything against it, but to be honest I found it a bit boring. I think it's the only episode that I haven't rewatched.
  18. Funnily enough, I actually drew a cutie un-marked version of my OC a couple of days ago! Sweet Style is a model, and her special talent is natural confidence and poise on stage and in front of a camera. She's a bit of a klutz off-stage (which is why her performance abilities are so exceptional), but losing her cutie mark would probably make her a clumsy wreck, and her confidence would definitely be shattered as well. As a model, she is considered attractive, and while her physical appearance would not change particuarly much aside from the usual effects (because that seems a bit odd), others' perceptions of her would most definitely be altered so that she looks average in their minds. Her heart-shaped freckle, which is considered her 'defining' feature, would however lose its unique shape, because it would set her apart in an 'undesirable' way (to Starlight at least).
  19. I had some spare time today, so in celebration of the season 5 premiere I thought I'd have a bit of fun with Sweet Style. Here is her 'equalised' version! I didn't draw it from scratch; I traced over a screencap on Flash to make sure I got her hairstyle and creepy smile as accurate as possible, and then I added a few details. Also, if you look really closely you may notice that her heart-shaped freckle is normal. I thought it would make sense for it to lose its unique shape because its considered her defining and 'special' feature, and would therefore set her apart. Her horn (which due to genetics is smaller than average) and height (which is slightly above average) don't change though, because body parts being manipulated seems a bit strange haha. Also, I'm sure that size and height differences are probably fairly normal anyway.
  20. I prefer to just call myself a fan. 'Brony' is a quite a strong label, and saying that I'm a 'fan' conveys the message that I like the show without going too overboard.
  21. I prefer showering in the morning. Personally, it feels like a bit of a waste to get clean and then go to bed immediately afterwards. Also, I'm a morning person so walking up early doesn't bother me too much.
  22. Sweet Style's special talent is modelling, more specifically, her confidence, poise and natural charisma on the catwalk and in front of a camera.
