  @brighty yeah no shit. Consoles should be an offline "plug and play" device, and internet connectivity should only be optional, not required. and I know the new consoles and Wii u are not that now, but what about the next?

  Steam isn't the only way to get PC games though. There's also GOG.com, Origin, Amazon, GreenManGaming... even Gamestop, at least online anyway.
