      Hulk has always been calmed by Banners love interests. He shares his emotions, but not his intellect. Hulk hates Banner, because he hates those who are physically weak. Banner fits that bill, and dislikes Hulk due to him being the embodiment of his own intellectual weaknesses. Also, the Hulk's never been described as unbeatable, just unkillable in that state.
