  1. Children of the Night is out and... I think I feel a tear running down my face. :')

    1. WonderColt

      WonderColt

      It is hauntingly beautiful.

  2. Looks like there's gonna be another bouncing baby boy in Buckingham palace. As if the corgis weren't bouncy enough. XD

  3. http://mlpforums.com/topic/3841-the-team-fortress-2-thread/?p=1673668 I've posted the playlist on the TF2 thread, it's a very helpful set of guides if you'd like to be a more effective mercenary. Anyways, have a kitty.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cm2iFmASBc&feature=share&list=PLeZV2UXOouwk2nWKbMsaSm-69ZURUTAql Anyone getting into the game should give this playlist a view. There are so many simple mistakes players can make in this game that are easily avoidable if you actually stop and think for a moment. Despite what people say, you can have a role on your team if you take the time to learn each class' strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully this guy does ones for MvM as well, there's a lot of avoidable mistakes people always make in that mode.
  5. Ha, tell me about it. Unless it's an all-server fun fest, stacking classes like that can only lead to disaster. (Also, that spy kills me every time. But what I hate even more are engies that build right next to you and don't move when asked. It's one thing when they have the Eureka Effect and they can't move the darn thing, but with the other wrenches there's just no excuse. Either help build your fellow engie's stuff or build your own stuff somewhere else. It's not that hard to figure out. /end TF2 rant
  6. I must say, I am very looking forward to the next season. 1) It's about time they addressed Scoot's little dilemma, poor thing's been left alone far too long. 2) Something tells me Spike's been indulging himself into one too many comic books since we last left him. XD 3) If this song sequence is as bouncy as it is in storyboards, I can't wait for the final product. 4) So Nightmare Moon is back... but now that you folks mention it, the princess' backstory ep doesn't look so farfetched with this. Add to so many songs, new characters, new settings... this is gonna be the most intense ride yet. Onward to the new season!
  7. If you can find a way to scan it into a digital format, you certainly can. If not it could be used for the charity auction.
  8. It's been a long time since I've seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks, but this scene is friggin hilarious on its own. Especially with TF2 clips spliced in.
  9. Just returned from seeing Monsters University. I prefer the first film, but this one has its strengths. Like that one bit at the end I don't anyone would've expected.

  10. Oh no, it's perfectly fine, you can toss me both stories and I'll have a look over them. I'll see if I can find a good place to end it, I can add a hundred words of leeway if need be. Email them to me at FirestormCAN@bronycan.com whenever you get the chance.
  11. *ahem* Silver, you are aware that I'm on this forum too? If I may interject here, I am willing to accept a brief excerpt of at least one of your stories if it's going to be a long one. I can have the book lead to a link to the full version (a shortened URL will do nicely) if you wouldn't mind hosting it somewhere. I can also have it posted to the Tumblr if you'd like. Cover art isn't necessary, but having a picture to compliment it wouldn't be a bad thing to have.
  12. Well actually it looks like BronyCAN.com is back online, but either one will get you to the site. We will be redirecting to BronyCAN.ca, so we'll let you know when that's been set up. Remember to update your bookmarks if you haven't already.
  13. Oh, I can hear the spies crying their hearts out to the Dead Ringer nerf.

  14. http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=11070 Heads up mercenaries, the summer update just went live. I'm in the middle of downloading it myself. The gyst of it is bug fixes and weapon balance changes, but 64 gold Star Workshop items are being added in the process. Here's what to look out for:
  15. Here's a nice original number based on the Sonic series. http://youtu.be/O80wOO3dYwg And while I'm at it: http://youtu.be/3QVOZkid5cg Speaking of Ken Ashcorp, I've had a fond liking of this piece based on Gravity Falls: http://youtu.be/rm7bTvTtXJg
  16. We've had to take down the site for maintenance. While BronyCAN.com is currently down, BronyCAN.ca is active at the moment, and it has all the up to date information. Unfortunately, registration is inaccessible at this time. Apologies for the inconvenience, we're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. Update: Our site and registration system is back online. Please update your bookmarks to BronyCAN.ca. We will have BronyCAN.com redirect to the new domain as soon as possible. Your suspicions were correct, General, the .com domain expired this morning and was not set to renew itself automatically. We've moved the site to our backup .ca domain to cover for us, and all registration data has been successfully recovered and moved over. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
  17. Most likely they were scrapped/rejected. Although there IS a golden laurel that drops in the game that may have had its model reused: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Hardy_Laurel
  18. Dagnabit Daniel, why must you create so many ear worms! I'll never get Help Twilight Win the Crown out of my head, even Smile Song doesn't do a thing!
  19. For me it's Road Runner and Coyote. You just have to feel sorry for the beast, the guy can't catch a break. But really, for a genius, you'd think he'd cancel his membership with Acme already. XP
  20. I. HATE. COBRAS. It's no MLP, but it doesn't have to be. It's still got some loveable characters, which for me is Sunil and Penny Ling. It's got some incredibly catchy songs (thanks Daniel), it it still has some charm that both parents and kids would enjoy. I've yet to see the last three eps of the first season. T_T
  21. I've got almost 1800 hours logged, and I must warn you: I'm a wolverine-mean engie. http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=11023 http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=11024 Lots of bug fixes and balance changes heading our way. Like most people I'm happy to see the Dead Ringer get that much-needed nerf, 'cause as an engie or pyro DR spies are by far the most annoying thing in this game.
  22. If there's one Disney movie that stand out in my mind, it's The Rescuers Down Under. Lots of action, lots of adventure, great comedy, flippin' fantastic scenery, and top-notch animation. It's a massive improvement over the first film and it was the one I always enjoyed watching growing up. A shame a lot of people seem to forget it exists.
  23. As a matter of fact, I have done an official vector: http://firestorm-can.deviantart.com/art/Apricity-s-Swirling-Maple-Mane-373442923 This was originally drawn by Nicole Gauss, one of our guests. I also made two other vectors from her. At the moment I'm accepting ads for the official convention guide book, and I'm in charge of putting the entire thing together. But I'll get more into that later.
  24. Relax, your sentries are safe from me... I didn't bring my sticky bomb launcher. Anyways, hello one and all, my name is Firestorm, or Nasa as my old friends from Neopets call me. I've been a fan of Friendship is Magic since the midway point of Season 1, and boy have I seen a lot come out of this crazy cartoon. Not just the show itself, but the entire stinkin' fandom. Seriously, I have never seen so much creativity and passion. Of course, like with most fandoms, it works in both ways, but I won't delve too much into it. At all. I'm a vector artist by trade, first recreating poses from the show itself for others to turn into wallpapers, collages, and lots more. After a while, I was contacted by Garrett Gilchrist aka Tygerbug, who asked me to create vector versions of his work. And I have to say, I'm very proud to be working with him. He's the most understanding and compassionate artist I have ever met, so I'm thankful to have met him. Right now I am Deputy of Design for BronyCAN, managing the art team to design, create and flesh out beautiful graphics for the convention. I'm also the project lead for the convention's Tumblr blog, Ask BronyCAN. Being practically next door to Richmond, I was very excited to help out this convention get off the ground and show what Canada's got to offer. Why haven't I joined these forums before? Laziness. That's why. But I'm here now, and I look forward to meeting and interacting with you all!
