  1. I'm not ashamed to admit I actually like Gameloft's MLP game... too bad it's the version that doesn't get the most love. Thanks Microsoft.

    1. Nightfall Gloam

      Nightfall Gloam

Didn't Gameloft stop updating that version?

At first glance it would seem so, though looking at the Gameloft forums, there hasn't been any solid news of abandonment. Mods have been responding to people asking about news of the Windows version, so I'm still holding out for a patch.

Also, it's the only version I can play as I don't have an iOS or Android device.

    1) Where do you see yourself in the next five years? 2) If there was another cartoon you'd like to base a comic on, what would it be? 3) If given the chance to take a job in animation or comics, would you take it?
  3. My heart just stopped when I heard the news. It's always heartbreaking to see such an influential person pass away so soon, but Mr. Iwata was one of the biggest. The Wii was the first console we owned, and we loved how accessible and easy to grasp it was. Before then, all I cared about were the adventure and edutainment games on the PC. I never gave consoles a second thought, even after playing them at school and friends' houses. Once the Wii came in and granted access to games both old and new, my whole view changed. I absolutely loved what Nintendo brought to the table with high-quality and polished content. Yeah, some weren't perfect, and some had some really questionable design choices, but you could tell they poured their heart and soul into these games. And Mr. Iwata was a driving force behind that, even before he made it to the top. He will be sorely missed.
  4. Saddened to hear the news of Satoru Iwata... my view on gaming changed under his watch.

Without Gunpei Yokoi, Satoru Iwata and Hiroshi Yamauchi, I wouldn't be into gaming today. Kinda hard to think that all three of those people I named are dead now, isn't it?

  5. Good gracious, now that was a ride I'd rather stay on! It was starting out okay, nothing too memorable... then Princess Big Mac happened. You should have seen the look on my face when he first showed up. My jaw still hurts. I also love the fact that they touched on Luna's internal guilt for what she did as Nightmare Moon, it's tough to let go of what happened in the past. Solid episode overall, and I'll gladly take that break after that.
  6. Ever wonder why people love Inside Out? I just found out.

  7. Even the experts can have a rough day. Even more so with Pinkie Pie. That was a fun one. Glad to see Cherry Jubilee again, she had some adorable expressions. I also like that Pinkie joined a Beetles-like band that lasted like, what, probably a couple hours at least? That was hilarious. And Celestia's face at the end, hoo boy did she look concerned. XP And I want a plush Yak foal now. Just sayin'.
  8. Well, as far as Spike episodes go, it was pretty meh. Although I will say it does highlight the plight of a convention deputy pretty well. XP
  9. HUZZAH! Emergis Exmortis!

  10. As pandering as this episode is, I can forgive the staff for it seeing as reaching 100 episodes is a milestone few cartoons fail to reach these days. These guys have worked thousands of hours bringing stories that reach to both kids AND adults. And despite what the critics and the trolls have done to hold them down, they always find a way to bounce back. Today's ep should be not just for the fans, but the people who make it happen. Well done, DHX.
  11. FirestormCAN has crashed and needs to reboot. Error code MLP100.

  12. Bum, bum, bum-ba-da, ba-da, Bum, bum, bum-ba-da ah

  13. Hard to believe that FiM reaches 100 episodes in less than 24 hours...

  14. If you're in Vancouver today, chances are you're blowing your top at TransLink.

  15. Trollestia strikes again. Ho man, that was the most bizarre as far as Discord eps go. Nevermind the return of the fan favorite Smooze, but there's too many references to count! Metal Gear, Dumb and Dumber, stand-up comedians. He made the Genie look mediocre in comparison. Also, someone might want to stock up on burn heals, 'cause Discord and Twi got scorched. I love how Celestia laughs at Twi's, btw. That was a fun one. Now pardon me while I join AJ in gushing over Apple Bloom's gala dress.
  16. Today's ep was okay, but I can give it praise for one thing: FREAKIN' CLYDESDALE. I demand a ponified Budweiser Clydesdale Cart!
  17. FFS, how many teams I follow are gonna completely blow their playoff runs this year? First the Seahawks, now the Canucks.

  18. Getting back to the whole theme of grief in this episode, I like how Fluttershy of all ponies is the one to force Rainbow Dash into her breakdown. 'cause if you think about what she does for a living, she's had lots of times where she's had to let go of something she loves. As a caretaker, Fluttershy shelters, feeds, raises, observes, and nurses lots of animals in Ponyville. It's not unlikely that she's had to experience loss, be it through death or a release into the wild. Assuming the time between when she got her cutie mark and this episode, she's had lots of time to learn to adapt to the grief process. To not let it affect her as much as it probably did the first few times. And she's not alone. Shelter staff, veterinarians, zookeepers and other people that work with animals go through similar situations in their line of work. They have to learn to find peace moreso than your average person. Otherwise their jobs would be harder than they need to be. Just ask my sister, who recently took on a vet assistant position at the nearby clinic. She's had to witness several euthanasias, at the same clinic where we put down our old dog years ago. It's hard, but she's been doing a damn good job of keeping her spirits high. But sometimes, you just gotta let it all out. Fluttershy made the right choice.
  19. Oh. I must've missed that 'cause the damn streams lagged.
  20. There's only one word to describe this episode: WAAAAAAAHHHAHAHAHAAAAAA~ Seriously, holy crap was that depressing. I wasn't expecting much from this episode based on the synopsis, but man oh man did Larson drive the feels express full throttle. I mean, Dash went through the five stages of grief sprinkled with glorious faces, a fantastic solo number and... a complete breakdown. Good lord did Larson knock it out of the park. What else can I say? Honestly.
  21. Never would I see the day that a secretary would tear of the race track.

  22. Yoikes. That was crazy. That dream loop, man. Even though I figured out what it was after the first piece, it still made my heart skip a few beats. I mean good lord, the Twittermites were one thing, but getting kicked out of the clubhouse AND the entire Apple family? SAVE ME, LUNA!!! Also, that would've seriously been screwed up if that was Starlight Glimmer messing with Applebloom. Just sayin'. Oh, and congrats to Babs for getting her Cutie Mark! See you in two weeks, champ!
  23. Back in middle school the science lab had a Super Nintendo with Super Mario World, Mario Paint ans TMNT IV. Freakin' loved Turtles IV, that's one the beat beat 'em ups I've ever played.
  24. Y'know, it's funny, my birthday is the same day the first man went into space. It's also the same day the Civil War started and when Terry Fox began his long journey across Canada. Don't I feel lucky to be born on such a historic day? :)
