Hello Jeric.
We have not really spoken much with one another before (if at all), but I recognize that you have done much for these forums. Your presence on the forums seemed to have been a constant, and your absence will seem strange.
Sometime after you have announced your intention to leave the forums, I have begun to work on what is intended to be a parting gift for you. Admittedly, the end-product is not quite what I would have liked. In short, I have underestimated the time investment needed to realize my original plans, fixing various errors, and further refining the drawing in general (as well as now realizing there are some details I have forgotten). But time is especially limited now, so I must consider this finalized now, or else risk not ever being able to send this to you.
Here it is.
I hope I have succeeded in capturing your likeness reasonably well. Of course, I had to draw Rarity with red glasses and her Ponybuck coffee as that specific depiction of Rarity has become strongly associated with you. I think what the drawing is conveying is straightforward: your departure depicted as you (and Rarity) departing on a train, waving goodbye to the members of these forums before you board (though I am not so sure if Mr. Invision Community will be missed much).
I am not sure what more to say except to say thank you for your contributions, and I wish you well.

It’s nearly 2:00 am where I am, so my brain and emotions are fighting sleep. Props showed me this, and my reaction was witnessed by @Troblems
I will reply appropriately in my AM. Man, I am such a sap for this stuff.

New drawing.
I wish I recorded the amount of time needed to draw this as it was definitely among the more time consuming drawings I have made. During the last stage of the drawing process, I tend to find minute things that need adjusting. But at some point, I must make the declaration that the drawing is finished even if there are further things that could be refined; it is a particular type of impatience when a given task is nearly finished, but then one finds a seemingly endless number of things to complete. Anyway, I am glad to finally finish this.
Below is the painting I used as a reference for the drawing.

I think this right sleeve took me somewhere between one to two hours to draw. Still, this is far less tedious than drawing wings. As of now, there is only one major part of the drawing and final minor adjustments left to complete.

The dress is based on that of Jessica Rabbit. This drawing emphasizes Haven as a celebrity. Sometime in the future, I intend to draw Haven in uniform which emphasizes her role as a monarch; I have already made a sketch of her in uniform sometime ago, though I was not fully satisfied with it, and did not proceed to make a proper drawing of it (also, drawing characters in uniform with decorations tend to be time consuming, whereas the drawing shown above is relatively simple).

Rest in peace, Yuriy Maltsev (Юрий Мальцев), 1950 - 2023. He was a Soviet economist working under Gorbachyov, then, after having defected to the USA, would become a Senior Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

New drawing. I saw an image of Cloudchaser with a camera head which intrigued me for some reason.

New drawing. Have not made a completed drawing of Tempest in over three years.

It is... interesting to see the contrast on the forums now with people being happy because it is Rarity day, but also sad because Elizabeth II has recently passed away.

New drawing. I first drew Luna, then the chair. I should have done it in reverse order as it was difficult to draw the chair in an angle that looked proper. But, I think I managed to draw it reasonably well in the end.

New drawing. Ludwig von Mises. Austrian economist (1881 - 1973).
His contribution to economics include: the expansion of credit as being the source of boom and bust cycles (The Theory of Money and Credit (1912)), the calculation problem of Socialism (Economic Calculation in the Socialist Commonwealth (1920) and Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis (1922)) and Praxeology (an a priori framework of economics) (Human Action: A Treatise on Economics (1949)).

New drawing.
Queen Chrysalis has absolutely no intentions to invade Equestria again.

A preview for a drawing I am making. It has been nearly a decade since I made the original drawing, so I thought it was appropriate to make another version of it.

New drawing. It has been nearly three years since I made a complete drawing of Luna in uniform. The new drawing tablet is great.

The computer crashed as I was saving this image: the file is corrupted. So, unfortunately, this particular drawing will never be finished. Particularly unfortunate since it was not that far from being finished. I will probably save two files per drawing from now on to avoid this problem.
