Luna the Great of all the Russias

I am nearly three years late, but I finally finished watching the entire series. I had a more emotional response than I expected: to the final song of the series and the closing of the Book of Harmony. As is usually the case when I finish a story in which I was highly invested, I am in something of a state of daze. Looking back to 2011, I started watching the show on a whim; I thought that the people at the time who said they liked the show were just trolling people who were not in on the joke. But there was no joke. I did not expect the extent to which I would become invested in the show (and the fandom), and I did not expect just how long it would last. To have been in this universe for so long, having been with these characters for about a decade and seeing how their lives have changed, then seeing them much older in the last episode (with the notable absence of certain characters)... obviously we see that they lived happily ever after, but that does not make the passage of time any less painful.
