Brohooves Received

  1. I'm a day late, but, I hope you had a happy birthday! :3 https://derpicdn.net/img/2015/6/21/920836/medium.png

  2. I was trying to book a room today, but found that the hotel is sold out. Would anyone be willing to share a room with me? I will gladly split the cost and even throw in a little thank you gift. Send me a PM if you can help me out.
  3. Personally I think that it is better than the first movie. The songs are amazing! They've added more fan favorite ponies to the EQ world and it has a lovely little twist after the credits. All in all, it made for one awesome movie!
  4. I was a bit surprised at how Fluttershy's friends rejected her suggestions. They thought her methods in reforming Discord were wrong, even though she ultimately prevailed. It's as if they never really learned anything about the benefit of a doubt. The way they treated her in that song... that was... kinda low. Even if they despised the vampire bats, they should have still respected Fluttershy's love for all animals and not have demeaned them in the matter that they did. But that aside, I absolutely LOVED Flutterbat! I don't know about the rest of you, but I did not expect that at all. First Flutterage, then Flutterhulk, and now Flutterbat?! Awesome! Keep the ball rolling, Hasbro!
  5. I tend to be pretty slow when I eat. It's mainly due to a throat problem and weak saliva. But then again, eating slowly isn't really a bad thing as chewing your food well helps your body get more out of it.
  6. BronyCAN was my first brony convention that I have ever attended, and I must say that I will certainly not be forgetting it anytime soon. Rebecca Shoichet singing "Bro Canada" at the opening ceremonies. Lee Tocker making the charity auction all the more interesting. All the wonderful goodies available in the vendors room. The awesome concert that the various community artists put on. The many laughs that were had at the voice actor Q&A. It was all a wonderful experience for me and just what I needed when it came to taking a vacation. I had one interesting experience that I would like to share. I managed to win the Apricity wool plushie at the charity auction, and the following day I was approached by the artist who made it. She was part of the staff and took me up to the penthouse suite, along with the plushie, so that she could fix it up a little. It was quite the experience to be up there in the same place where the VIP party was held saturday night. The view around Richmond was breathtaking and they had all sorts of snacks left out for the special guests to enjoy. I guess you could say that by winning Apricity, I had also won some VIP access to the penthouse, which was quite an honor. One that I will not forget anytime soon. I hope everyone who went to the convention had a wonderful experience and I hope to see you all there again next year.
  7. I won this from the charity auction. It is Apricity, BronyCAN's beautiful mascot. $60 was the starting bid and I got it for $200. It's 100% wool that's been carefully packed and crafted into the marvelous creation before you. Those who went to Everfree Northwest will have seen this before at the BronyCAN table. The original artist (who was one of BronyCAN's main staff) caught up with me the following day and wanted to do a few touch ups here and there as she was handled a bit roughly on the trip over to Vancouver. This granted me a brief access to the penthouse suite where the VIP party was on saturday which was really quite the treat. I guess you say I ended getting more than I paid for when I bought her. She truly is a magical pony and I am more than happy to be the proud owner of her. I really hope that every dollar that I paid for helps to keep sick children in BC hospitals smiling.
  8. Awesome. Sounds like a plan to me! I'll see if I can tag along with that if there's nothing that catches my eye at the time. It was nice to meet you btw.
  9. I've been to a convention before at a hotel, but not a brony convention. I like the convenience of it being in the same place where you sleep as you can easily go to and from your room and the con. I myself have been hoping to meet up with a few bronies there and have some dinner with them. There are a few restaurants and eateries around which we could look into and I'm more than willing to pitch in some money for a pizza or whatnot.
  10. Well here is my opinion on it. He I feel that he looks a little too refined to be sporting a mane and tail like that. In addition, I'm not too sure about the multicolored wings. They might go well for him, but a solid color might suit him better. Once again this is just my own little opinion on it. I hope you didn't mind that. If I notice anything else that I feel can be improved upon, I'll let you know.
  11. I know what you mean. I do my best to bring ponies with me wherever I go, especially to work where they help me through a tough day. But I only have a handful of pony shirts at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to get a few more once I go to BronyCAN. I've seen the Derpy Hooves wallet before and would have got it if I didn't already buy the Rainbow Dash one. Though I might get it in the future, when my money isn't so tight.
  12. I certainly do! I always have my Rainbow Dash wallet and lanyard with me when I go out and whenever I head off to brony meets, I wear my Vinyl Scratch backpack as well as a shirt.
  13. I've seen my fair share of odd OC's. Some of them being pony hybrids of dragons, gryphons, and even spiders (Kudos to that last one for originality). I know that some of them do that, just so their pony can breathe fire, live longer, or simply stand out in a crowd. Basically it looks like they just want to make their pony better than everyone else's in a sense, which I find to be annoying. I feel that unicorns, pegasi and even down to nature earth ponies are plenty enough for people to make a decent OC with.
  14. I would also like to add that I will be down there early on friday. I've never really been in the Vancouver area before so it would be a good opportunity to take a little look around before the convention starts.
  15. The first time I ever heard about it was from when I was looking at some art on an artist's user page and one of their arts featured their pony OC that they created. In their comments they raved about the new show and despite my contempt over the show's previous generations, I decided to give Friendship is Magic a chance. That was a couple of years ago near the end of season one, and I have loved the show and everything about it ever since.
