    No school till September 3rd for me, LAWL @ USA SCHOOLS.

      Many US colleges start in mid/late September, though these usually run on the quarter system. Semester schools usually start in late August, though.

      And as for public K-12 schools, it's dependent on each state, and often each county within each state as to when school starts and ends.
