      Onboard audio is awful. Nothing compares to having a soundcard with a headphone amp, especially if you're an audiophile like myself

      Strange.. the integrated audio on my machine does 5.1 pretty well.

      Plus, my headphones have high impedance (about 60ohms) and onboard sound just can't give them enough power.
