  1. Thank you very much! I'm sure I'll like it here. Getting addicted seems likely, that has happened to me with other sites before. ( Such as tumblr )
  2. It's hard to explain so I made a quick sketch. The upper version is how you drew it, the lower version is how it should be done. There might still be some errors because the pose you drew is actually quite trickly. I suggest drawing people with their arms resting against the body first. That's more natural and also easier. Another important point, though you don't see her collarbones thanks to the shirt keep them in mind when sketching. They're connect to the shoulder after all. Make sure that fits.
  3. Sure, I'll try to update this topic quite frequently. Page four is actually already done so I might upload that later today. As for the next character, that will be Nightmare moon ( though it's technically still Luna in another form ) I'll try my best to actually make her look like a villain and not all cutesy and sparkly. Next page! My cellphone took a really crappy picture, I have no idea why it's so blue all of a sudden. Hopelly my scanner gets fixed soon because these pictures don't do my art any justice. Anyway, I guess this page's okay. I like the expression of Celestia and Luna in the panel on the upper left. The darkness taking over her heart was portrayed by more of 'evil spirit' like creatures here because that's a personal headcanon of mine. The lock is just a symbolisation to go along with the chains on page three.
  4. Thank you ; w ; It's nice to meet you too. This is my first real contact with the Mlp fandom because I was too shy to join anything before but I'm sure I'll love it here.
  5. Thanks for your feedback! I'll try to improve on my faces for the mane six, just like the show gives them somewhat different eye types I'd like to do that too. The only one who will have those really big shoujo eyes will be Pinkie because that suits her in my opnion. Shoujo's a style some people love and others don't, it's the style I've read since I was smaller and also drawn because it appeals to me. I can totally understand your point of view but changing my whole style at once seems a bit impossible but I will at least try to tone it down some more and make the characters look more mature.
  6. They did, it just isn't a super girly show anymore but a cartoon everyone can enjoy. I wish more people would understand this and stop thinking it's same as the older generations. I don't want to bash them but they were indeed something only little girls could really enjoy. Thank you. <3 I'm sure I will.
  7. Thank you very much! I hope I'll have a great time here~ It seems like a lot of fun though, also a lot of active people. ; w ;
  8. Here I'll be posting my other works apart from the manga project over here Most of these are already quite old though but I hope you can still enjoy them. Traditional art will be uploaded as soon as my scanner gets fixed.
  9. Nice to meet you too Brooke. ; w ; Ohh, your banner tells me you have a DA. So do I, I'll be sure to check that out. It's always to meet fellow artists. <3
  10. Let me try this : I'm not entirely sure which style you're trying to draw it but I'm getting a a slash between regular cartoon style and anime/manga? Either way, since twilight is a female she'll need some curves. The shape of her upper body is way too much like that of a square, it would start out a bit broader, get narrow around the waste and then expand again for her hips. Secondly : the wrinkles, clothes have a lot of them. Of course, since it's not realistic art so you don't have to draw them all but still a few are needed. The cloth will hit the hip as it gets broader so there will definitely be a wrinkle there. Then we get to the breasts, that's not the way they would show in a shirt. I suggest just giving it a wrinkle right under the chest to indicate them. If she wears a really tight skirt and it's not front side, you might see a little bit more of the round shape. Next up, the head isn't correctly linked to the body and the neck is too small. Even when standing like that, there should be a slight curve going downwards which connects the end of the neck and the shoulders. The legs are quite odd too. If you would connect them to the body like that, the gap between her thighs would be too wide. I don't know how you draw, but definitely draw the body without the clothes first. Lastly the head : the eyes are indeed a bit strange, it's a bit like she's cross-eyed. It's a good thing you know eyes/ears are on the same level though! Good job! The hair is okay but could use a bit more detail to make it look nicer. I know this might seem as a lot of negative points but don't give up! Just keep on trying and progress will start to show.
  11. Woah! Love the coloring on your work, it simple yet really smooth looking. The first one has to be favorite, you did a good job on Celestia and Luna's hair/mane. I don't know a thing about pony anatomy but to me it looks pretty much perfect. I'll look forward to seeing more of your art. <3 ; w ;
  12. Your art looks amazing! It's great to see the improvement from your first post to the most recent one. Keep up the good work, I'd love to see more of it.
  13. Hi hi ; w ; Nice to meet you all, I'm not all too familiar with forums but I think I'll have a nice stay here. I started watching my little pony quite late and both the first and second season had already come out and were fully uploaded on youtube. Just like many among us, I was a bit confused at first why this show was so popular. I loved the toys as a little girl but had never seen any of the television series ( perhaps there was no dutch dub of it I don't know ) Yet, I love cute and pastel colored things so I decided to give it a shot, I was expecting something really cheesy and cliché but it wasn't! The thing that spoke to me the most was the voice acting, the characters sound so natural and the voices really fit their personality. I grew up watching mostly dubs of cartoons and had a bit of a bad image about voice acting in general thanks to that but now I was proven wrong. Apart from watching cartoons/anime I also really enjoy drawing. I've got a pretty generic manga style but since it's just a hobby, I don't really mind. Drawing ponies/animals isn't really my thing but I love designing my own humanized versions of them. Well that's about it! I hope we'll all get along ^^
  14. Hello everyone! This is my first post and topic on this forum and I hope you will enjoy it. With the news of an upcoming Mlp manga, I decided to give it a shot myself. However, since I am much more experienced with drawing humans I have decided to re-draw the story we love with humanized characters. ( Horns and wings will be kept the way they are ) No text yet because I want to wait for a better quality version first. Unfortunately my scanner broke down so I can only use cellphone pictures now. However, I think we are all quite familiar with the story so there should be no problem understanding it. If curious, I used regular fineliners and three greyscale copic markers ciao. ( C-3, C-5 and C-7 ) Any kind of feedback is hugely appreciated. This is my first time putting together a manga like this so feedback would be great! ; w ; I'm always looking forward to imroving my art.
