Super Mario has a gameplay formula. It's important they don't go out of it, but each game has enough difference through gimmicks and level design that makes each game have it's own legs to stand on.
Yes, so FNAF and FNAF 2 isn't much different, look at Super Mario Galaxy and it's sequel. I don't play Mario games anymore, just for the sole purpose it has been beaten to death and it's kinda grown boring to me.
