These are superb and should be framed and hung in a museum. I especially like the piece where Peter Dinklage realizes his blindness, and the one where Sweetie Belle tearfully calls out for Kaneda.

I still recall when we met. I believe the first thing I ever told you was that you were nice and that you were Nietzsche. I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific as to which dialogue exchange you're referring to.

Firstly, this has nothing to do with the scene in question and everything to do with how people respond to it, which is an inherently unfair critique.
Secondly, you're claiming they shouldn't be compared when you're the one who seems dead-set on comparing them to begin with.
You're more obsessed with this fight scene than any of its supporters are. Just let it go, man. You'll be much happier for it, trust me.

Another dazzlingly detailed and highly enjoyable review. Well done, man.
If there is one word that can best sum up what makes the overall story of Season 4 so downright spectacular, it would be this: Clarity.Yep, Clarity-chan has a tendency to do that.

Pretty good list, from the ones I've seen. I'd prioritize Evangelion, but I'm a little biased since it happens to be my favorite Thing That Exists.
And don't be ashamed of not having watched Cowboy Bebop. I haven't finished it myself, though not out of lack of interest. :3

It's been an eventful couple of days. This place seems to be emptying out fast. Sorry to see you go too, Kitteh. :/
Truthfully, I've lurked around a bit on Everypony and haven't been able to muster up much interest in joining, so I suppose we'll be seeing each other much less frequently from now on. Nevertheless, I hope you find the new place to your liking.

I'm not bothered by it. Many of the greatest artists in the industry never won Oscars, so Leo is in good company.

I feel you, man. This is a crisis that pretty much everyone I know is going through or has gone through. We're tasked with making critical decisions about our financial future when we're still young and naive. It's tough.
I'm stuck too, in the sense that the things I'm most passionate about are things I don't believe I'm qualified to do. I'm trying to find the alternatives but it's been a grueling journey thus far.
Still, you can take some comfort in knowing that you're not alone. Best of luck, man.

Doctor Who related?

Glad to hear this community has helped! I'm much the same as you. I don't watch religiously either but the community has given the show lots of longevity for me.

I got a mention?
Just want to let you know, I always thought you were an awesome chap and never had an issue with your alleged spikiness.
Cheers!

I always love hearing origin stories of this sort.
My own ascension to bronyhood was a slow process, so I couldn't pinpoint a specific date if I tried. x)

Missed my chance to see Frozen in theaters, but I'm not letting that happen with this one. No way, Jose.
And I thought the trailers made it look good to begin with. *shrugs*

Why did I just brohoof this?

I am in complete agreement. This is my favorite episode. The Goof-Off sequence in particular is maybe the most exhilarating thing this show has ever done.

Dammit. CitrusFizzle was my OTP.

Quite the elaborate con, Citrus. However did you pull off the "having two kids" part?

Congrats on starting a blog trend! xD

Oh, and I forgot to mention this, but you made a glorious typo with Martin Scorsese. x3

Aw man, forgot to watch Upstream Color on Netflix.
Being something of a snob, I'm kind of amused that my favorite movies this year were effects-driven blockbusters, while the artsy critical darling only barely made it onto the list. YMMV, obviously, but Upstream Color didn't really do much for me. It seemed to ape Terrence Malick, but without the emotional power he so effortlessly gives his best work.
But compared with a lot of what I watched, it's still good I guess.

Top 10s. I love Top 10s.
I'm horribly lazy, so here I present my own thrown-together top 10 than I'm not in any way going to explain. Keep in mind that I've seen very little that's notable, and I really only loved the first three. Also, the first two are kind of tied.
1. Gravity
2. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
3. Before Midnight
4. Stoker
5. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
6. Only God Forgives
7. The World's End
8. Monsters University
9. Frances Ha
10. Upstream Color
I agree with your take on The Hobbit. Smaug was a damn awesome creation and the barrel scene was a fucking hoot.

I got two replies on my Welcome topic, and my first post outside of it was fairly well received (with three brohoofs if I recall).
...But even with that, I initially found the forums rather intimidating. It was probably just my social anxiety, but it took me about two months of being here before I started making any friends at all.
If possible I would like to prevent newbies from feeling like I did, so count me in.

Brohoof/post ratio, is it important?

Doesn't matter to me. I've seen plenty of vapid posts get brohoofs and plenty of thoughtful ones get ignored. My own ratio is 561 brohoofs to 350 posts and I got most of those from forum games, which tend to be the posts I put the least amount of effort into.
Not that I often make an effort, anyway. I'm almost a full time lurker.
