  1. So OTP is like shipping, I take it? In that case, I ship April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation with myself. We can be snarky and needlessly hostile together.
  2. I remember a time I could name dozens of dinosaur species at the drop of a hat. Now I'd struggle to even name five of them without internet aid. Let's see. Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops...um, Pterodactyl or however you spell it. Brontosaurus. Um. ... Four. Oh, how I miss my carefree youth.
  3. Single. And I have no desire to inflict myself on some innocent girl at the moment, so I will likely remain single for the foreseeable future.
  4. I just cooked! And the results were edible this time! So proud of myself.

  5. This Day Aria is about 58 minutes too short. For such a dramatic piece it does seem to come to a...erm...premature climax. I'll also agree with Hush Now Quiet Now. That Sweetie Belles's got some pipes.
  6. I'm not even into the whole shipping thing, but I admit, a male Trixie is probably the only pony I'd ship with Twilight. Way more interesting than that boring Flash Sentry dude.
  7. This gen (last gen?) I only owned a Wii cause I'm a cheap bastard. So my answer is, uh, basically every good game released for the higher end consoles throughout their entire lifespan. If I could only choose a single title among those it would be Portal. I've salivated over that one for years.
  8. You all rock.

  9. Post about it on MLP Forums while eating some delicious parmesan garlic Triscuits. That's...pretty much what I did right after watching the Smile HD video.
  10. One More Final: I Need You from The End of Evangelion. A scene from a movie that I found thoroughly confusing, depressing and unsatisfying on first viewing. Now I've come to love it for the exact same reasons. (Spoilers ahoy, though really, it's no less nonsensical if you actually watch the series)
  11. I'm partial to the soundtracks for God Hand, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, any Zelda game, and the Donkey Kong Country series. Last time I participated in a thread of this kind I chose God Hand as the favorite but at the moment I'm feeling a bit retro so here's some Donkey Kong. http://youtu.be/70jMX8qK7dY
  12. Star Wars was my obsession when I was younger but it's been a long time since I've seen any of the films. I have no idea how I'd respond to them now. I'm going to wait till I re-watch the whole saga sometime soon before I formulate an opinion on it.
  13. I've seen some people post more than one song so what the hey. Here's my personal favorite pop song ever, Wuthering Heights by the inimitable Kate Bush. http://youtu.be/BW3gKKiTvjs Also, kudos to the guy that mentioned Aphex Twin. Love him. I'd say my favorite piece of his is Nannou. http://youtu.be/A-Pkx37kYf4
  14. I used to be a hyper-critical film buff with standards so absurdly high that it got to the point where I had a hard time enjoying anything anymore. Learning to see the beauty in a children's show like MLP has gotten me to lighten up and stop being so damn pretentious all the time. Just a bit though. There's plenty of pretension still left in me. The show has also gotten me to try making friends to confirm for myself whether Friendship truly is Magic. Progress on that front is slow going though. But I'm trying.
  15. I wasn't listening to a song at the time, so I turned on shuffle and the first song to pop up was "Respect" by The Notorious BIG. The song just happens to feature a sexually explicit skit at the end, which would certainly make for an awkward (and hilarious) funeral. In fact, I'm so amused by this mental picture that I'm going to request that this song really be played at my funeral just to troll everyone. I wouldn't want to be remembered any other way. I'm not going to link to the song since I don't know if it counts as NSFW material. You can look it up yourself if you're so inclined.
  16. It was about as good as I expected it to be, and by that I mean "not very." Sure, it had good qualities - The voice work was top notch as always, the little cameos and easter eggs were amusing, and Helping Twilight Win the Crown was great fun. But overall I was left unsatisfied and wishing they'd made a My Little Pony movie instead of Twilight in Bratzland.
  17. Just had a job interview scheduled for Thursday. I don't have the best track record with these. Nervous as heck.

  18. Yes, watch it. It's nowhere near as bad as it's been made out to be. Just for Sidekicks, Games Ponies Play, Apple Family Reunion and Magical Mystery Cure are all underrated despite having rushed elements. The Crystal Empire is VASTLY underrated and one of the better adventure stories they've done so far. The rest are mostly solid. The weak point for me is actually Magic Duel, which everyone loves but I thought was a loud, hyperactive mess only redeemed by a fourth-wall gag right at the end. As for how to watch, well... I watched all the episodes on Netflix Instant, but occasionally the streaming player would betray me and I'd watch through other means. From what I recall the episodes weren't too hard to find. Google is your friend.
  19. Back when I lived in a rural mountainous region of Puerto Rico I would sometimes lie down in the grass at night, flat on my back, just to observe the seemingly infinite black void stretching out in front of me. I would marvel at the fact the universe has no up or down, and that I'm really just a tiny thing clinging to a big space rock for dear life. It was quite a humbling experience. So, to answer the question, yes. I'm not as well studied on the subject as I'd like to be, but I'm fascinated by space. Someday I intend to pursue my passion for space by enlisting in Starfleet. Or becoming a smuggler under the employ of Jabba the Hutt. I haven't made up my mind yet.
  20. Just finished watching this. ... I had a friend who was decapitated by a flying horse kick, right before having his remains charred by a giant Spirit Bomb. Needless to say I found this video distasteful in the extreme. I'm absolutely appalled that someone would be so thoughtless as to produce something like this and try to pass it off as humor, when stuff like this happens every day and is nothing to laugh at. I will be writing MisterDavey a strongly-worded letter demanding an apology, not just for myself but for all others who have been affected by homicidal pink horses.

  22. Pinkie Pie's breakdown in Party of One. I usually enjoy watching ponies go insane but Pinkie's breakdown hit so close to home that I couldn't laugh. Except when she made Rainbow Dash argue with a pile of rocks. That was hilarious.
  23. Lately I've been going out wearing whatever I slept in the previous night, occasionally switching my shorts for a pair of jeans that haven't been washed in ages. I don't bother combing since my hair is a lost cause and I only occasionally remember to shave. In case you're somehow having trouble deducing my answer based on that information, I'll make it explicit: I don't care about how I look. ...That is, of course, until a pretty girl walks into my field of vision. Then my appearance suddenly becomes the most important thing in the universe and I become upset with myself for sabotaging my chances. No matter how many times this happens I never seem to learn my lesson. Derp.
  24. Daiiisy, Daiiiiiisy, give me your answer dooooooooo. I'm half craaaaaazy, all for the love of youuuu...

  25. My username belongs to a fictional character I made up once back when I wanted to be a writer. The character, who was female despite the name 'Rudy' usually being associated with the male gender, was conceived as an adventurer/pirate living in a surrealistic nautical-themed post-apocalyptic world. Rudy originally existed in my head as a fun, lighthearted character, but through the years she became deranged and violent - no doubt due to my increasingly disturbed mental state. I have since lightened up somewhat and put the idea (and writing in general) on hold, so she is unlikely to ever see the light of day. I never intended her name to become my online persona. It just kinda happened. The system asked me to enter a screen name and Rudy was the first thing that popped into my head. I have taken this to mean she's still within me, seeking vengeance for abandoning her by slowly eating me inside out. Perhaps one day I'll need to forcibly remove her through brain surgery.
