  1. @@Blitz Boom, Shall I make another post? Or shall I wait? @@Blitz Boom, I'm working on his appearance right now. Because I have no art skill, I used the dreaded Pony Creator... His cutie mark is a wrench over a gear, because originality. XD
  2. @@Blitz Boom, One of Alexander's ears twitched as he heard a knocking on his front door. He made a few quick notes on the paper he was writing on to remind him where he left off for when he resumed working on it. He rose from his seated position and moved out of the room towards the front door. There he heard what he presumed to be a mare saying "Come on, I know you're in there!" The voice was unfamiliar to him, though he opened the door regardless. Perhaps this was the new mailmare that he had requested, the last one was so klutzy that she almost ruined his entire order of baubles! After opening the door, he was greeted by a mare with some odd looking sunglasses. "Are you the new mailmare?" he asked. Then another thought occurred to him, with a look of panic in his eyes, he quickly asked "Did I forget to pay the bills again? Are you here to take my designs?!?!"
  3. I probably need to update my about me section, I've changed a lot...

  4. @@Blitz Boom, His house is indeed in Ponyville, and he should hear knocking on his doors. That was me! Also, I think I'd prefer Jelly Drop, Happy Hour seems like a bit much for my character to comprehend if that makes any sense.
  5. TIS I, THE DANKEST MEMELORD, m'lady. How might I offer my 1337 420 noskoping skillz 2 u?
  6. The title says it all. This is by one of my favorite YouTubers, the host of The Filthy Frank Show, the worst show on the Internet, TVFilthyFrank... You have been warned. https://youtu.be/irUXit3_lZc
  7. This argument is really a matter of opinion, and it's one we don't share. I've had fun with Marvel's movies, but I don't feel that I need to see them. The characters felt bland and uninspired to me. I'm also more into dark and gritty, which is DC's thing. I respect that you prefer Marvel characters, but I don't share that with you. The one Marvel franchise that I've really enjoyed is the X-Men. While I've yet to see the movies and I haven't really delved into the X-Men comics, I've really enjoyed the shows. I do hope that you check out some of DC's more serious stuff like "Watchmen" and "V for Vendetta," my favorite work of fiction. I also hope you check out "Superman: Red Son." If you have any recommendations for me, I'll gladly check them out.
  8. I would argue the exact opposite, I don't really feel any emotion or sympathy for Marvel's characters. Batman is trying to save the city that refuses to be saved, he's a man among gods, fighting alongside the likes of Flash and Superman with just his brain. Superman owes the world nothing, yet he chooses to save it time and time again, he will never stop fighting until all of mankind is safe and free. Plus, DC has WAY better villains, and the fact that the films take a serious tone is something that the superhero genre desperately needs to become a more respected genre. Superman is also weak to red sun radiation and magic. I respect your opinion that you suggest Marvel characters are better, but to call out DC's characters is foolish and ignorant. I thought little of Superman's character until I read Red Son, I would highly recommend it.
  9. @@C. Thunder Dash, It was based on the Frank Miller comic "The Dark Knight Returns" featuring an older, bigger Batman who relied more on strength than other versions, thus telling why they chose Ben Affleck as Batman. As a fan of DC, I will admit that I'm biased, but I REALLY enjoyed the film. It was everything I wanted. I suppose I could see why it was confusing, but I tend to think really quickly. Most people I've talked to who know DC's comics have really enjoyed the film, and I think you need to have an understanding of the comics.
  10. Alexander Tinker was seated in his "thinking corner," a room located just outside of the living room and next to the hallway which led to his bedroom. Alexander had had enough complaining from guests that they couldn't sit anywhere. It wasn't his fault that he had so many ideas that needed to be written down. Perhaps other ponies just needed to be more understanding of the importance of his schematics and blueprints. 'When I'm done with this one, they'll see what these things mean!' he thought. The invention he was working on would be revolutionary to Equestria. When he finished it, at least. It'll happen. Eventually.
  11. When I was younger I enjoyed Nickelback, but not so much anymore. Now I listen to those crappy songs, every time I do it makes me laugh. (Sorry). I do enjoy the Foo Fighters, however. I can see why you'd think they're generic, though I still enjoy them.
  12. @@Blitz Boom, Would it be alright if I worked on appearance after my introductory post?
  13. @@Blitz Boom, Name- Alexander Tinker Age- Mid to late 20s Bio- Alexander was one of many talents from the start, adventurous, smart, and curious. Unfortunately, he could never seem to finish anything, leaving his room littered with half-finished projects, his floor and walls covered with schematics for inventions and maps of places he'd been. Alas, in his many dealings and interests, socializing wasn't one of them, and it always came as a struggle to Alexander, though he's become accustomed to his relative loneliness, hardly noticing it anymore. Perhaps one day he'll finally finish making something. Appearance- None yet.
  14. @@Blitz Boom, Your choice, really. I'm not sure if I want to have him start out exploring, though I could. In any case, I'm working on him now. I should have him fleshed out enough for a bio in the next few minutes.
  15. @@Blitz Boom, I was thinking of doing a jack of all trades, and I think I will do one with adventurous tendencies. Should I make a full character sheet or shall I make a quick bio post?
  16. @@Blitz Boom, It would be a pony. I find that I tend to make "center stage" characters, characters that would be main characters in a story. I'd like to play a more "normal" character, one who isn't super special or anything, a character that could go by unnoticed if you understand what I'm saying.

No offense, but Skype is a bit personal for me. I'm more one for Steam chat and the messaging system.

no offense taken! Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty busy on here in particular regarding PMs especially, but we can still chat if you're up for it

If you're not up to it it's fine.

  18. @@Blitz Boom, I don't have him fully fleshed out, really. I wanted to do a more open-ended character, like an inventor or an explorer, someone who isn't where they're going to be for the rest of their life if you know what I mean.
  19. Anarchy, because anarchism is democracy taken seriously. Favorite video game?
  20. Before going vegetarian? Grilled shrimp. Now? Pioneer Woman's veggie stir fry. What's your field of study (or planned field of study)?
  21. Hi @@Blitz Boom, remember me? If not, that's fine. I've been off the forums for a few months and wanted to get back into roleplaying, thought I'd stop by here to check if I could test out a new character with you guys.
  22. To all of those on my friends list, I still exist! I've been on hiatus, don't know exactly why. I'll be on here every once in a while, I've got a busy couple of weeks coming up in school, but I should be on here at least once a week.

  23. @@Drago Ryder, "Thus shows the ignorance of the character," Agravain muttered. No matter how trained or how numerous a group is, no one is invincible. "It's thoughts like those that end great civilizations..." @@Illiad Easle, "Is there anything you would ask of me?" Allendune asked the scepter.
  24. Anime is actually the shortened term, (unfortunately I cannot find the original word), coming directly from the English word animation. In Japan, it applies to anything animated, whereas most everywhere else in the world uses it to define animation made in Japan.
