Laughing to himself quietly, he circles the alicorn, figuring out whether it was friend or foe. Deciding that it at least wasn't foe, he appears before the alicorn, standing tall. "Why, exactly, have you been following me? Let me guess... Consumed by boredom, you heard the sound of a snapping branch and came to investigate, and found my tracks, yes? So you followed them, trying to figure out who/what I was? Intriguing..." He says to the alicorn. Seeing the bracelets on the creatures legs, Dark starts to grin, realizing exactly what they are.

He continued walking along until he suddenly stopped. Right ear twitching slightly, he hears someone approaching him from behind. Seems they've been following his trail. Quickly erasing what trails are visible on this side of a few bushes, he turns himself invisible and waits for the pony to show themselves.

He's heard rumors of a black alicorn that lives in the forest, but has never seen it. His horn glows dimly, and his eyes start to change color, from all black to a white and cyan-like mix. He scans the area with his magic-sensing eyes, and to his amazement, finds nothing out of the ordinary. His eyes fade back to black, and his horn loses the light. As he continues to walk through the forest silently, he steps on a thick branch and snaps it in two. Thinking nopony heard it, he continued walking silently, avoiding stepping on anything else that could cause such a loud noise. @@LonnaKitty, Looking up at the black sphere, he tells the alicorn about his findings. "About 2 years ago, a hooded figure came to Canterlot to speak to me. He told me of a spell that could alter anything, and which spell-book I could find it in. I searched for about a year and a half before finding it, only to realize that I couldn't touch it myself, otherwise the book would turn to ash. The only one who could take the book and release the disintegration spell was Luna, so I asked her to retrieve it for me. Which she did, of course. Afterwards, I studied through the book, trying to find the spell I had been told of, but the language was something I'd never seen before, so I had to research it in order to read through the book in order to find the spell. After a while, I finally found it. But realized how powerful the spell actually is, and I need Dark Blood's help to make sure it's never used for evil. The reason I need his help is because, well... It's protected by extremely powerful magic. Not even the power of Celestia and Luna combined could break it. So I figured Dark Blood would be my best chance at breaking the spell. Well, not so much breaking it as altering it. So only me and the princesses are allowed to read it. And since he seems to be the most powerful being on this planet, I figured he would have the best shot at helping me." He explains this as he takes out a book from his bag and shows it to the alicorn. After letting her see it for a moment, he stuffs it back in his bag. Shining suddenly looks over to his left, where nopony seems to be. "Was that..." His voice trails off.

@@LonnaKitty, Shining chuckles again, and stops himself. He looks up at the black orb, floating above the everfree "Impressive... If you were a unicorn. Now I'd recommend to stop casting the spell. This ones particularly nasty. Although it doesn't always happen, it sometimes drains power from the caster. But it forces all powerful creatures to look at it, no matter species. Except for the ones within 50 meters. Most of them will ignore it once it passes, but if it catches the eye of Dark Blood, he'd know it's me, and will probably come running over. Or more accurately, flying over. I just hope he's not in a fowl mood..." He says as he looks guiltily at the ponies around him. "Chance of him being in a foul mood is about 32% though. Wait.. what day is it?" He asks, somewhat stupidly, and checks his goggles. "Make that a 27% chance..." He says with a sigh of relief...

@@LonnaKitty, Shining mistakenly let out a chuckle, but soon corrected himself. "Good. I'd like you to cast a spell." He says, and then starts to rummage through one of his saddlebags. He eventually takes out a large leather-bound journal, and starts flipping through the pages. Almost halfway through the book, he stops, but then keeps going, trying to find a powerful enough spell... Eventually he settles on one that he himself couldn't cast... yet. He tosses the journal on the ground in front of the alicorn, showing the spell page to her. The spell, named 'Enforced Darkness' was very accurately described, as Shining himself had discovered it, and is the only one that knows of it. Well, used to, anyway. The page also has a hoof-drawn image of a large black sphere, with a dark mist emanating from it. "I would cast it, but I'd have to use the rest of my power, and I'll need it for later. All you have to do is cast the spell into the sky, probably about 30 meters up. And hold it there for a minute or two. After that, we wait. Hopefully he see's it.." He grins again, yet nopony can see it.

@@LonnaKitty, "I don't intend on doing anypony harm. But I don't intend on using your help, either. I do, however, intend on searching the town for Dark Blood. You may not have seen him, but he could still be here... somewhere." Shining states, walking past the alicorn and looking throughout the village. After a while, he seems more irritated, cursing under his breath, and his tattoo's starting to glow a faint blue. He walks back up to the alicorn. "Maybe I will ask you to do one thing. Well, it depends. How powerful are you?" He asks with a grin, though nopony can see it.

@@LonnaKitty, @@Missklang, "Normally I don't greet anypony with such a harsh tone, nor am I usually so withdrawn towards others. I just happen to be in a foul mood, and have something important to do." He says to Missklang, with a somewhat irritated tone. "And it doesn't help when random creatures, like yourself, are somehow finding me and irritating me further. He says sighing. He then turns to the alicorn "And I would be more polite with you, but I only greet my current princesses with kindness. Everyone else I greet neutrally. Anyway, I'm looking for someone. An alicorn. Goes by the name of Dark Blood. About two hooves taller than you, with black fur, and blood-red markings. Usually wears scale-mail boots." He says, while looking at his surroundings, trying to spot any clues as to whether or not he was here or not...

He was about to teleport again, when suddenly the black alicorn disappeared. Shining moved his goggles over his eyes, and switched filters, looking for magic. Hmm. A hidden village? In the Everfree? This could be what I've been looking for... Dark Blood could be there... And I sense a magic barrier... Maybe that's why that creature from before couldn't detect his magic... That would explain a lot... he thinks to himself, sighing with exasperation. Deciding to take a closer look, Shining walks toward the wall of trees. He peers through to the other side, and sees the black alicorn again. As well as a bunch more ponies. Shining curses under his breath, and squeezes through the trees, and disables his invisibility spell. "You! Alicorn!"

@@Missklang, @@rolle, @@CharChar, Shining stopped as the pony referred to as 'Missklang' started to follow him. As he turned to look at this annoying creature, he noticed the rune scripts that were floating in the air. Reading through the runes, he started to get more and more irritated "Dark Blood must be hiding his aura. Neither of those sound like him. That first one is probably that dragon from earlier. That second one is probably Discord, with his chaos magic. Great... Trying to find Dark Blood when he's hiding, is like trying to find a grain of black sand in empty space. Hmmm... The last place I could sense him was about the center of this forest... Perhaps that's where I should go..." He said quietly to himself. He used his magic to erase the runes, in case anyone else tries to follow him. He then turns to this 'Missklang' pony. "Just to let you know, if I were to activate one of my pendants, you couldn't sense my magic even if I were right in front of you." He says pulling out a Jade-colored pendant from his saddlebags. He latches it around his neck, and his magic signature disappears. "Normally I wouldn't mind if other creatures were to tag along. But since I don't know where spies are, I have to be discreet. I don't even know why I'm telling you this. Just DON'T FOLLOW ME." He says to the unicorn. Right as he's about to teleport again, he hears a somewhat quiet 'hello?' from his right. "And you! Stop watching me!" He says as he starts galloping away. After a little distance is gained... "Teleport." He mutters, and disappears from the area. Re-appearing about 200 meters away. "Finally, some peace." Sighing from relief. After figuring out his current location, he starts walking toward the center of the forest.

@@Missklang, Shining Midnight noticed the pink smoke and the spacial distortion, but only nanoseconds before the teleportation spell was complete and a pony landed right on top of him. His cloak was ripped off, only to have the hood intact and still on his body. His dark blue coat was now showing, with swirling tribal patterns all across his torso and legs. His horn started to glow a dim blue, along with his tattoo's "Teleport" He said as he disappeared from under the unicorn, and appears a few feet away. Taking out a brush from one of his saddlebags, he brushes off his legs, and then puts it back. He turns to face this new pony "You must be somewhat competent if you can cast a teleportation spell. Granted, it's not that powerful, and it couldn't get you too far, and you still create distortions at you current location and destination. As well as the smoke. The smoke is new, I've never seen that... Anyway, I don't have time for you." He says as he starts walking.

I don't get scared from movies. I mean, occasionally a jump scare will get me to twitch an eye, but other than that they're nothing. And don't just go and say "Well then you've never an actual scary movie, have you?" I've seen quite a few scary movies. Well, it depends on what you define as a 'scary movie'. I've seen.... Hmm... All the Paranormal Activity's, all the Friday the 13th's, the Halloween's, the Nightmare on Elm Street's... I've seen The Woman in Black 1 & 2... Poltergeist (new & old)... the Exorcist (1-3)... I've seen WAY more than that, but that's the most popular ones I think. As far as scariest I've seen? Hmm... Dunno. Maybe Dumb & Dumber. So stupid it's scary.

@@rolle, Shining Midnight appeared in the air, directly over a cliff. "Fly" He muttered, and he floated over to the edge. He looked down into the cavern. "Must not be this one." He said as he turned and started walking. Suddenly he froze, mid-step, with two hooves in the air. He didn't turn his head, but he looked over to see a gray unicorn to his right. "I got careless. Now hopefully he's not a threat." He thinks to himself. He puts his hooves down, and turns to face the pony. "Interesting eyes you have." He says as he takes a step closer. "You must be the one who was watching me earlier. And since you can see magic, I have a question for you. Spot any areas with highly-concentrated magic? There should be one that way..." pointing a hoof East "But if not..." His voice trails off.

He turned to face the dragon, with which two other creatures were standing in front of. "Great. More distractions." He says with a deep sigh. A slight twitch in his right ear indicated that his words were being heard from something not visible. And a slight twitch in his right eye told him something was viewing his magical presence. "I'm tired of this nonsense. I have things to do." He said as his horn glowed with a dim blue again "Teleport." He mutters as he disappears from the group.

@, Shining stops walking, and disables his cloaking magic. "I'll admit, not many beings are able to see through that invisibility spell. You must have good eyes. And I am Shining Midnight, Royal Watcher of Equestria, and General of the Royal Guard. The only ponies that have a higher rank than me are the Princesses. Most ponies know who I am, but you since reside in the forest, I doubt you care about any of that. Where I'm going is none of your business. And why I'm hiding? That's so curious ponies don't end up following me and end up getting themselves killed. Either by you or some other creature of the forest." He says occasionally twitching his right ear, and motioning toward a sleeping manticore. "And would you STOP SNIFFING ME!" He exclaims, as he jumps back 5 yards.

@, @@Love Doctor Blaze, @@VinylWubs, Shining stops walking, hearing the dragon ask him a question, along with something else. "Do not anger me, dragon. I am in no mood for tom-foolery." He says as he slightly shifts his left ear. "As for you, were-creature, no you do not. I don't know you either, but I've seen you before. And I know of your... diet. Don't worry, though, I don't mind. Just don't attack me or either of the princesses." He says. He's grinning under his hood, but nopony can see it. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have somewhere to be." He says as his horn glows with a dim blue "Stealth. Cloak." He mutters and disappears from sight. He walks past the were-creature, and notices a pony to his right, hiding behind a tree. He sends the pony a mental warning "Be wary of the were-creature." as he continues along.

Had fish sticks last Wednesday. Had fish and chips yesterday, though.

If I'm angry, every other word I speak is a swear word. Mostly because when I'm angry I don't speak. I just get straight to punching you in the throat and breaking an appendage. Luckily that hasn't happened in a while. But normally? Depends on who I'm with. Family? Occasionally. Friends? All the time. Almost constantly.

~OOC/Sign-up~ Shining Midnight sat atop his tower, watching over the land, as is his duty. Hearing a noise from the doorway, he shifted his right ear to hear the noise better. It's the noise of the door creaking open. Princess Luna steps through the doorway, carrying a book with her. "Here's the book you requested. Though I don't know why you asked me to get it." She said with a sigh. Shining turned to face her "You're the only one who could've attained this book. Only those of dreams are able to touch it. If I were to try, it'd turn to smoke, only to re-harden moments later." He said as he pokes the book with his hoof, which indeed turns to smoke. And as he said, moments later, it re-hardened. "Isn't it useless to you, then?" Luna asked him, somewhat intrigued. "True, my physical form can't touch it. But my magic still can." He states as his horn glows with a dim blue light. He turns the pages and reads through, searching for a certain spell. "Care to explain what you're looking for?" Luna asks while looking at the book. "A certain spell. If it's the spell I think it is, then it allows the caster to change any physical property of... Well, anything. Including life forms. For example, if I were to cast the spell, I could change this mountain into chocolate. Or I could change the size of your horn, get rid of it even. This book is the last possible place it could be." He says as he stops flipping the pages, and stares into the book. "It has that kind of power?! What could you possibly want with this spell?!" She exclaims, causing two guards to appear in the doorway. "Nothing evil, of course. I just wish to change the landscape a little. And a few other things." He says with a wink to Luna. "Besides... It'd be safer with me than some evil character like Chrysalis. Or even Discord." He says as he closes the book, and stores it in one of his saddle bags. "So? Is the spell in the book?" She asks, with a worried look on her face. "Yes. Fortunately, we found it before Dark Blood did. But knowing him, he already knows the spell and can use it whenever he wants. Forgive me, but I must be off. I have to hide this somewhere safe." He says as he dives over the railings. "Teleport." He mutters, and he appears in Ponyville. As he walks through the town, ponies everywhere come to see him, trying to catch a glimpse of his face. A mare rubs her head against his side, and whispers in his ear "If you take off the hood, I'll make it worth your while." Shining just keeps walking through all of the ponies, and eventually they give up and go back to what they were doing. Soon, everypony leaves him alone, and he slides into a dark alley. "Stealth. Cloak." He mutters, disappearing from sight, and causing no sound as he moves. He makes his way to the Everfree Forest, and disables his magic, reappearing in front of a blue dragon with a tux and a top-hat. "Excuse me." He says as he walks around the dragon. (OOC: I should note: No pony outside of royalty has seen Shining Midnight face. His cloak hides it, and no one is able to convince him to remove it.)

I'm somewhat of a Pyromaniac (and whatever you call someone obsessed with explosives), so I watch/launch fireworks whenever I get the chance. Saw the July 3rd fireworks show in Milwaukee, WI. As well as the July 4th show in Waukesha, WI. ALL THE PRETTY COLOURS! AND THE BOOMSES!

Well, Pompeii was destroyed from a natural disaster, but Chernobyl was 'destroyed' from an artificial disaster. Citizens in Pompeii were literally melting in lava, while citizens in Chernobyl were melting from radiation (so to speak). They both have their different points of cruelty, but I think they both tied in regards to 'unlucky-ness'. The city of Pompeii was built next to an active volcano, so I mean you couldn't have thought that they were gonna last long anyway. And Chernobyl... Well, they could've lasted a while, but I'm sure it was going to happen at some point. As with all man-made things, it's not 100% stable. 1500 confirmed remains. That doesn't include the ones that were burned down completely.

You always seem to make the muzzle really thick. Not a complaint! Just pointing out something unique... Great work!
