  1. I guess you can't really leave it as much as you want to, but I really didn't follow the show really that much after Season 5. I still used some MLP-related avatars and PFPs somewhat in jest after that, but again it was more of a half-troll at that point.
  2. I started watching MLP when I was 13 and probably joined the forum at 13 as well. I turn 25 in two months. Nothing more surreal than thinking about all the stuff that's happened since then.
  3. Feels like I never left man. I could never truly escape this fandom even if I wanted to. Throughout the last 9 years or so this show always kept popping up in the weirdest of places. I mean I followed the music artists that I liked during my time here basically to where they are now (Assertive, Foozogz, Andromulus, etc.) so that is a big part of it, but I would keep running into people in other completely unexpected internet places that had my same experience basically. What made me think about going back on the forum was that I ran into a guy at a rally who was randomly playing Friendship is Witchcraft music on his accordion and I was the only one at that whole place we were staying at that knew what he was playing. It was pretty funny. I picked up on a melody and I asked him what he was playing and he seemed really hesitant to give me an answer at first which made me immediately think it was something related to MLP just based on the circumstances. Then he played Gypsy Bard which was just completely undeniable. We were with other people so we couldn't discuss it too openly, but it was a funny interaction and we talked about it later.
  4. I kept a bit of a distance for a while after I grew out of the MLP phase but still interacted with some Brony stuff on occasion. I was in a Discord group for a little bit two or so years ago until they banned me for some reason. I don't remember exactly what group it was but it definitely had the most people in an MLP-related server at the time. Really the most interesting thing is seeing what the fandom is like now more than a decade after the show started while obviously not being completely obsessed with it like I was in the past. So yeah I guess "surreal" would be a good word to describe it. I got into MLP when I was going into my freshman year of high school and this was how I went through the identity crisis that occurred around that time. Definitely found my main identity in other things after I grew out of the MLP phase, but it definitely was an interesting little stretch of life. I still don't think I'd be where I am now without this show.
  5. That meme got big for absolutely no reason. Almost a decade later and I'm still unsure as to why that just exploded. Interesting story, but after that episode came out I posted the clip of the Luna and Celestia fight to my YouTube channel and it is still my most viewed video at almost 400k views.
  6. Best episode of the series in my opinion, the animation was fantastic and I thought the plot was really good as well.
  7. Nice to meet you. I guess a lot of other people started feeling the nostalgia as well. It's hard to believe how much stuff has changed. I remember joining after the end of Season 3 thinking I was late to the party. Now I feel like one of the OGs.
  8. It seems like the moderator wasn't the only one coming back after the long hiatus. Nice to see everyone again. I don't think I've been on this forum since maybe 2014, and the first thing I've noticed is that you now have to pay to have a GIF as your profile picture because I still had my profile as a GIF and never subscribed in the past lol. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums? I think I just found it through the ether. It was so long ago I couldn't actually tell you. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic I found MLP many many years ago when my sister was watching it on YouTube. I was out of commission for a few days because of my wisdom teeth removal so I couldn't really do too much other than just lie down on the couch and watch while she played episode after episode. MLP was my life for about two years until I started to realize I was just in a phase and ended up growing out of it. I didn't follow the show much after the end of Season 5 although I tried to keep up with a lot of the music artists that I had really grown fond of. I'll always have nostalgia for this show because of how big of an impact it had on me at the time.
  9. I talk about it all the time. Mostly because it pisses my friends off, and I think it's hilarious. Neither of my parents are ok with it. I think my mom threw away a Rainbow Dash shirt I had.
  10. Yeah. I went back and watched some episodes during the super duper long off-season, and your right, Applejack's voice was really high in Season 1. Same with Applebloom (but I think that is more Michelle getting older than intentional characterization.)
  11. Yeah. At one point in the episode, she said something about the drapes having nothing to them and I was like, "Just like your character!" #epicburn XD I feel like this might happen again with other "villians" throughout this season. They might team up at the end of the season and form an Anti-Mane 6. That would be pretty BA.
  12. Back-stabbing time in TF2! Seriously though, why doesn't everyone "spy check".
  13. This was a great episode, with so much stuff to laugh at. I thought this episode covered what society, at least American society, is starting to become, we've pushed for equality so much, that we are starting to forget what makes us human.
  14. I've wanted to meet John for a while, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
  15. Star Wars all the way, but you can't forget John De Lancie
  16. Yes it will be free. To sign up for the beta go to the games website. https://www.planetside2.com/ps2onps4 How long has it been since you've played it?
  17. I know this probably sounds terrible, but you do get used to it. The brony community is a weird place and of course that stuff will happen (as there is A LOT of My Little Pony R34). You just have to either ignore it or just accept it as a side product of teenage guys in a fandom.
  18. It was a very gradually change. It took me a few weeks for me to call myself a fan of the show. But as soon as I heard about Bronies, it was pretty instant. I was very late into this fandom (Summer of 2013), as I had hardly ever new this show existed prior to that point. Wow. Your really new. NIce man. I'm assuming the morally questionable stuff your talking about is the "clop." Am I right?
  19. With the release of the closed beta stage of the game coming up soon, I was wondering what you guys think about the game coming to the Playstation 4, and how it will compare to the PC version of the game. Also, what do want in the Playstation 4 version that isn't in the PC version. Beta Sign-up: https://www.planetside2.com/ps2onps4 I was also wondering if any of you guys wanted to play when it does come out. PSN: discorded_who
  20. The Ghost Nappa the from Dragonball Z Abridged: Knife Party - 'Fire Hive': Krewella - Alive (Cash Cash x Kalkutta Remix):
  21. Why is Master Rochi such a perve when he's like 90 year's old. And why was he willing to kill Goku just to prove a point? I also think Bulma's on her period. (In case you can't tell, I'm watching Dragonball.)
  22. Hopefully Friendship is Magic season 90. Jk I honestly don't think much will be different. Unless we have a major breakthrough in every field of study, I feel like the only change will be in presidents and evironmentaly friendly transportation. Christianity will still be around no matter what anybody says.
  23. I've already answered this thread but I'll do it again. Today is a very special day to me because a year ago today I watched my first episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. So on May 31st, 2013 I went to the oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Let's just say it hurt like crap afterwards. All I could do for the next few days was lie on the couch. My sister, 8-years old at the time, was completely in love with this show. Since she was done with school already my mom let her stay home with me. The next day while I was on the couch my sister turned on the TV, went to the YouTube app, and started up an episode. (Remember back in the day when all the episodes were on YouTube?) I had realized earlier, somehow, that the show wasn't girly. (Still don't really know how. Destiny?) So I wasn't entirely against the idea of watching an episode. My sister kept watching episode after episode that day, then I realized that I was looking forward to watching more and more. Although I didn't want to admit it, by the 10th episode I was hooked. She then asked my what episodes I wanted to watch. She named some for me, and I would pick one. This went on for about 2 or 3 days. Even though I was hooked onto the show, I told myself that I would never watch an episode by myself. Well, about a week later I watched Hearts and Hooves Day, on my iPod by myself. I admited to my Broniness around June 15 after I found myself looking up pictures of Derpy Hooves and Rainbow Dash on my iPod. I still think that becoming a Brony will always be a point in time that I'll remember.
