AM programming is Preschool time regardless. They moved it to a slightly more convenient time for adults, but didn't put it at typical adult times. You know what prime-time is, right? The Muppets was on prime-time, MLP isn't and never will be because it'd fail miserably and isn't made for adults.
Kids and parents is not a general audience. Parents are willing to sit through a lot of crap shows for their kids, making something they can enjoy with their kids is not the same as making something for everyone. Batman was for everyone to watch, kids, teens, adults, old people, whoever. MLP was not ever made that way at all.
You get that almost all kids shows are made to be something that parents won't hate so that they can watch it with their kids, right? That's not making it for everyone.
Yeah, that's why Lauren Faust made that episode where that guy's wife dies and he seeks revenge on the greedy company that wouldn't allow her to stay on life support, right?
MLP is not anything like Batman at all. Batman was really made for everyone, MLP is made for kids to learn life lessons. How do you not get this?
I already said I watch a lot of kids shows, but I call them what they are. Almost all of what I watch is for Elementary to Middle School age, not Preschoolers, but still. There's nothing wrong with watching a kids show, but don't act like it isn't for kids. A show about colorful rainbows is not the same as Batman: The Animated Series and people who say it is give it way too much credit.
