I'm just going to be honest but I don't like bases, you know, pony bases people recolour and stuff? I just don't like them, I don't understand them. Sure it's nice to just use a base once in a while, but when people use them for tumblr asks and art and try to claim them, bases suck, no offence to base artists.

If they're creating vectors I think bases are fine. There's a line that should be drawn though. Putting extreme amounts of effort into vectoring and taking credit for what you've done is alright by me. Just they should be sure to say what they actually did themselves. I love seeing all types of art whether it's done with bases, paints, watercolors or whatever. I'd personally rather draw things out myself though. I feel like I gain more skill doing it that way.
