Well depending on where you live that is a good thing. The elks in the US and Canada are a lot more dangerous than the ones where I live. Here we even have some "friendly" bears.
Well, yes about half the year. Some of the bears are friendly in the way they don't actively try to avoid you, but you don't want to shake their hands if you get it...
