There's something special about Canadian racism. A lot of the time it doesn't have the same hatred behind it American racism does. It gets to the point where the comments are so naive and ignorant, you just end up laughing at them.
I've never been to Ireland, but I know English racism is no laughing matter (and Irish people are essentially English right (that was a joke, (don't kill me plz)))
