Uh did you guys read the topic? I mean to the end? The conversation was perfectly level headed...

The only time I've seen religion or politics discussed calmly is in academia when it's professors and experts because they're able to see and comprehend all sides. A public forum where users have a medium-strength relationship with each other at best is not the place for these topics. Perceptions of users can easily sour with one statement.
