Keep in mind I am describing situation based on ONE provider of such job in Poland so it might be different than other cases. My friend was once involved in such job. It was partially online actually as he was meeting customers and future employees of his irl. Only he was doing the rest of his job online. He kept talking about how amazing job he has, because he is doing nothing and money comes to him. Eventually he started bugging friends (with me included) to join same company under his wings as we'd not have to work anymore. I have to admit that they must've sent him on some courses as he knew how to manipulate people and I was very grateful for learning about such techniques in college. But he forgot one thing - he was already manipulated. I checked that company and actually if You wanted to become a big person there You had to work hard. Another thing is that it is typical "pyramid" - when You earn money person above You earns it too and it goes to the point, where the ones on top of it don't have to do anything, because everyone else will do their job even for silly income. They were selling popular perfumes in significantly lower prices (although I can't verify if they are authentic or not). But to the point: biggest problem with that job is that it changes person's point of view. You don't have friends. You don't have family. You don't see people. You see potential customers or fools that You have to manipulate to follow You. That's how he saw us. I refused his offer and he instantly removed me from his life as there was obviously no money to gain on me (note: he did not say that). It seriously damages Your social abilities and on top of all it invades the part of life, where are You supposed to rest after work. You work all the time. You look for more and more people to join. And that way You lose more friends and more friends while still gaining not enough money to be able to survive with that "job" only. I can't say anything about quality of products - but workers in that company had their brains washed. Just like my friend. I know there are more companies like this - so be careful about online or overall "just sit on couch and earn money" jobs - most of them are scams or are focused on brainwashing You and making You a mindless drone.
