  1. Quite late as I've never put much importance to it. I think I was around 12 years old and even then it was only connected to my PC so I can watch movies on it. I was more of a video games/internet person so it still was mostly gathering dust though
  2. New friend! : D

I hope You'll have good rest! *hugs* :fluttershy:

  3. Oh that's quite okay, at the moment I am at work so playing video games wouldn't be a good idea I was planning to do it after work, but it will be a spontanous thing, I don't have any specific plans yet It would be neat to have You on the stream!
  4. Sleepy as I woke up not so long ago : D But excited for the new day!

    general media Lego!

I got myself Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga and can't wait to play it today after work! As if building Lego wasn't enough, now I will play Lego video game
  6. That was too much fun, I wish I was able to stay on for a bit longer I will likely play Lego Star Wars today and maybe stream it to some friends, because I never played it before and want to share the experience Special thanks to @EpicEnergy for being the direct reason as to why I got it
  7. That's the best part, everypony is free to join! And You, Silky would be such a fine company with instant morale boost Please join! : D
  8. Oh my, oh my, oh my, that would be so splendid, You're so sweet, my heart is melted *big hugs* <3
  9. Thank You for the response! But here's the question about druid magic - where does it come from? I understand that it's one that can manifest itself in any race that's there, but it still doesn't look like something common, given how most of us never met a druid before! Is it something You're born with? How did You encounter Forest Storm first? How did Your abilities begin to manifest? Or did You simply decide that becoming a druid is Your calling? I myself have some unusual abilities related to the plantlife and found that I can control it to some degree with my music!

Anypony, who posts after me will not get hugged for a total ONE SECOND so better beware EDIT: I knew that my warning will give me a victory
  12. And that definitely is true! I am still on season 1! D: That's a long way ahead I can't wait! There is a possibility of them being a more isolated case though. As we know mane 6 are elements of harmony which makes them bound to each other since birth - in fact - before they even knew of each other. Maybe that's why their cutie marks remained the same? Because, while Rainbow Dash's rainboom got stopped something else happened that still made them find their cutie marks together due to special bond they share? That would allow them to keep same cutie marks while altering the rest of events leading to various futures with only one thing remaining the same - mane 6's cutie marks. It's just a theory for now and its correctness depends on if other ponies have same cutie marks or not. If they have the same cutie marks as well then my theory goes through the window
  13. To be honest action movies were never that big of a deal to me. There's action in pretty much everything, but brainless shooting with a copy-paste storyline and a lot of unnecesarry explosions and 0 creativity was always on a complete bottom of my "to watch" list. But my perception of these still changed. The reason is simple: a show tailored for children - valuable lessons about life, inspirational episodes with a specific purpose to promote kindness to those around us and values of friendship, love and positivity. mindless action movies, usually considered "for adults" or at least 12+ audience - usually just brainless violence and pointless storyline that teaches You nothing, doesn't help You to develop and is of questionable, cheap quality that to me feels like a slap to the face So at this point I find many of those movies even insulting to intelligence. It is, because now we know that meaningful shows can really reach high if enough heart is put in them. We stop showing people great values and instead dumb them down. We really can do better than making another movie, which's sole points are fist/gunfights and dumb explosions. It's important to note that this thread is about "mindless" action movies, which makes the, let's call it, genre very specific. That's why my opinion on them is so radical
  14. The show made me appreciate, who I am far more. My biggest bane was always my self esteem, or, to be more specific - a complete lack of it. As a rather soft spoken and "in the clouds" kind of person I had to deal with criticism on a regular basis with people expecting me to "be a man" aka - tough, stone cold, with very specific set of hobbies (what's up with that, I don't like watching sports and suddenly people look at me like some sort of alien xD). Any "deviation" from that rather narrow minded point of view was sin as a weakness. Needless to say, having the same thing, however ridiculous it may be literally pounded into Your brain with some sort of mental sledgehammer makes You eventually believe that. Since I couldn't just change to "fit in" (nor did I ever want to as such attempts made me only feel worse) my self esteem plummeted rather quickly with me seeing myself as a naive, paper man with nothing to present to the wide world. I will tell You all this - it wasn't fun. Today I laugh at that (and feel happy I never gave in) but back then it took away much of my enjoyment from pretty much anything. Then there's this show, where I'm suddenly told that no matter who I am - I am worthwhile. Even more, there are actual fans behind it and in large numbers too, who tell me the same thing - I'm worthwhile. There's a character who faces my very own struggles and remains true to herself and through that becomes strong. Only that strength is hidden as there's more behind the word than some brute force or ability to tell someone to "get lost". That was a life changer to me. That hasn't fixed all my problems, obviously, it takes even more than that for this to happen, but set me on a right path. I am certain that if I never ran into this show then today I'd be another "boring" human, who killed their passions and lives only to work, eat and sleep. I am certain, because this is exactly the kind of ideal that I was being pummelled with. It's no exaggeration to say that I owe this show my life today. I wouldn't be myself if it wasn't for ponies. And I am proud of it.
  15. Wow, You made one strong point with the season 5 finale (I haven't seen it, but now I can't wait to get to it!). But as a little counterthought to that to stir up the debate, my friend! The question is at which point were the events altered! (here it's actual question as I have no idea D:). If the history was changed after Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom which was how mane 6's cutie marks came to be then the similarity is understandable. After The trick comes if it was the Sonic Rainboom that was "erased". In that case I will have to agree with You that at least to some degree genes are involved with cutie mark's appearance. There is a chance that they would end up with the same cutie marks for circumstancial reasons given their natural talents, but while that would be... measurable with only one altered future. Here apparently we discuss about several futures with the very same cutie mark. My, my, that's the hard one, You brought up a really powerful argument with season 5 finale alone, but maybe I can find other explanation yet This will take a lot of thinking... and apparently watching too... Thank You for amazing contribution as always, whenever You post something
  16. I came up with this thread idea just now as I was contemplating how most of MLP episodes contain lessons that can feel VERY personal to certain people. We all know that feeling, I believe. Watching a show, movie, reading a book or playing a video game and seeing events that feel personal on an uncanny level... as if someone took our biography and made a story out of it where the only differences are names of those involved and the setting of it. What are Yours? Which would be the episode of My Little Pony that You find very personal, touching something You experienced? Mine would definitely be "Putting Your Hoof Down" as it describes my lifelong struggle with people thinking that I should change, aka, become more "assertive" to handle the real world. What those people don't realize that their definition of "assertive" is becoming what borders on being a complete bully. On top of all - it waters down my own self worth as I am simply assertive in my own ways, only avoid confrontation unless it's necesarry (which I also happen to share with Fluttershy based on how she dominated the dragon without having to use violence for that purpose). That episode taught me my worth and reassured me that my stubborn resistence was a right choice. I can't simply change myself to fit other people's (quite narrow) viewpoints and if someone confuses my softness for naivety and stupidity it is their mistake, not my weakness. Kindness in the end is not a weakness. Fluttershy showed me what I would become if I heeded those advices - a complete jerk and villain. I would cease being myself and wearing a skin of a different person would not serve me well. While I did not let myself become "different" before seeing that episode it was still a very important experience for me to watch it. A confirmation and a confidence boost for me
  17. Honestly? I just think about more and more ways to pursue happiness, inspire myself and those around me. I want to always be this beacon of positivity to others

  19. Unfortunately I can't agree with this despite understanding where it comes from. I think ultimately what's wrong or not wrong should be dictated by how it affects us and that which is around us and mane 6 + Spike's actions ultimately lead to positive, wholesome results even if they commit their share of mistakes- something that's completely fine as lots of ponies improve from occasional, let's call them, "happy little accident". Rarity - lust. - I disagree, because while she dreams of her prince charming, it's more romantic than filled with "lust" and she's too refined for that kind of action, always lady-like and elegant with proper amount of respectfulness. Pinkie - gluttony - Again I disagree. She eats a lot, but she will always be more than happy to share the fun. She's also far from obese so not even her body shape indicates overindulgence in food - she eats exactly as much as she needs to maintain proper energy level for her, very active lifestyle. Lifestyle in which she inspires others to be happy, which makes it very selfless too. Twilight - greed There's an episode, where she refuses to go to the gala, because her friends can't all go with her. She'd never say no to sharing her knowledge. She's a literal opposite to greed to me. Spike - sloth - more like a typical teenager. A bit reckless, sometimes too... careless about what he means, but always wishing to do the right thing. I fail to see the anything wrong here neither. Fluttershy - wrath - "wrath" is a huge word for her attitude. I think there was only one time when she "really" lost it. The rest is her trying to be assertive and responsible. It's hardly representing something as big as "wrath". Rainbow - envy - wanting to be like someone isn't envy yet. She's not willing to walk over everyone to achieve that and she takes them as an inspiration to herself instead of looking at them with malevolent jealousy. Applejack - pride - she had struggles with pride, but also enough wisdom to learn and accept her weaknesses and allow others to help. Hardly something I'd perceive as "representin a sin". So... in the end I simply fail to see them as representing something negative like this. It would require retconning much of what they did right, because a lot of what they do disprove each and every sin listed here IMO.
  20. Currently reading The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring! I've read that one before, but it was ages ago and in polish. Now I am reading english version and so far it's been a very fun experience that I plan to keep sharing through blog entries. Overall I love this book and I feel happy that this is the book I use to return to reading regulary
