@spacestorm Stupid question.... Also, if Celestia and Lunas relationship was weakened, thus weakening the elements, how could she have raised the moon after her sisters banishment? Does the eoh even have anything to do with that? (Probably not since its bc of their cutie mark...) Do you think Luna could raise the sun and her moon then? Maybe they both have the power to raise the sun and moon, but they make the day or night more beautiful than the other depending on their cutie mark... (Ex. Celestia made a more beautiful day than night bc of her cutie mark...) Not sure where i am going with this...

It all makes sense now! Lke you said: Luna and Celestias relationship would be weak since lunas jealosy was building... Then, when Luna turns into nmm, the bond is at its lowest point. Nmm didn't care about Celestia (didnt love her... Etc) BUT Celestia still cared for her, however, the weakened bond between the two led to Celestia ultimately using the elements on nmm In a harsh way. AND- she couldnt have (like you said) used the full power to purge Luna of nmm as she represented only 1 of 2 element wielders. Additionally their friendship was also about to blow out) And so instead, Celestias weakened, single use of the elements resorted her to banishing until 5 ponies could someday have a strong enough friendship to purge her sister of nmm... Am i on par?

What i meant was that before all this the sisters may have controlled 3 elements each. Then Luna becomes nmm... And Celestia didnt have control over enough elements to change her back and resorted to banishment. But i see how that can be a problem.... If you elaborate, i wont mind:). I also honestly and firmly believe that IF each sister knew how to control all 6 elements, then lost the connection, it was because Celestia used them against her sister and after banishing, couldn't use them/there was no harmony between them anymore. Or like you said it could be because using them as one pony would be tiring and they don't feel connected anymore... And maybe, because Celestia was the only one using the elements vs NMM, that using all 6 as one pony can't free Luna but can only do other things...

That makes a lot of sense considering that if without the Magic element for the Mane 6, nothing would work. Just like w/o Luna, most of the elements wouldn't work. I like to also believe they both shared the element of magic. When Luna transformed however, Celestia only had magic and two others, so she couldnt purge Luna (kinda like you said) of her dark powers and only banish her. So Celestia waited until she maybe saw in the stars that NMM was coming/figured a way to escape which was ofc 1000 years later. She also maybe set up the whole unicorn school to find someone worthy of the magic element and 5 others who could wield the elements when she no longer could...I think she's no longer connected since after she banished Luna.... Or it could just be that getting rid of Lunas darkness immediately wouldnt have solved the problem and Luna would have been angry all the time...

My theory was that before Sombra got locked away, he could have put dark energy in Luna which festered into NMM when she became hateful toward Celestia.

I talk a lot about Luna (lol love her-and i'm going crazy with topics....) But could there be a connection between Luna/NMM and Sombra? His dark energy? Could there be a possibility as to Luna's transformation not just being from her own dark powers/hatred? Come up with a headcanon! (If you want) (P.s Sombra should've gotten a bit more backstory than the one in the Crystal Empire episode imo)

I know what happened canon-wise ._______. AND i watch it. Its hard to find exact answers though lol and i'm kind of just asking for headcanons.... I was just curious why Celestia wouldn't turn luna back instead, but it makes sense now because she still would've been angry... I love the show mind you, i just like to look at it the way Bronycurious does xD.

I brought this up in another topic i made about plot holes. Why did Celestia banish Luna to the moon for 1000 years when the Mane 6 got rid of her dark powers right away? Tell me your opinions. I have a few theories: Celestia could not free Luna right away as she was buried deep within NMM/jealousy too strong/If she freed Luna, she wouldn't stay that way for long (again, the large amt of jealosy) she'd turn right back/felt it was best for her kingdom and maybe in a certain time Celestia orchestrated the star escape prophecy for mane 6 to confront her... I confuse myself with this topic hahahaha. Add to the fact that it might just be as simple and inexplainable as other mythology in tv and real life...

Here's a few more things i found: -Why are the crystal ponies, Sombra and Discord immortal? For the C.P and Sombra, he made the Crystal kingdom disappear... So maybe time was at a stand still when it disappeared, therefore the ponies didn't age while it was vanished 1000 years. Discord because he was locked in stone? -Nightmare Night. According to the ponies this had always been a festival even before NMM first appeared. Not to mention in s1e1 nopony knew who NMM was, yet in "Luna Eclipsed" they run from her and have a legend of her and candy. Was this because after Luna was "cured" they were told what happened and then later incorperated her into the holiday? Idk maybe i'm over analyzing but i love the history and such...

@techno915 actually discord was sealed away after the events of equestrias founding, before sombra and before nmm/luna was banished. Celestia just mentioned what happened in s2. @Nightmare Lyre Oh i meant that if Luna had Dreamwalking powers before she transformed into NMM why did she feel as if nopony appreciated her? @Scootalove yeah... Those two as well. But it doesn't stop me from loving the show xD. Yeah and Chrysalis made a threat too and they put the shield up so the only way she wouldve gotten in is by disguising as somepony other than cadence (she was already in there).

I've been watching Brony Curious' videos such as Luna the Dreamwalker and he brought up some interesting points. Now, i do love mlp but i see a few problems with some plots. 1. Mlp fim season 1 ep. 1 and 2: Why did it take 1000 years and why banish luna if the elements of harmony freed her right away when the mane 6 used them on her? 2. Apple Family Reunion: Granny Smith says the reunion is every 100 moons (8 years) yet in one reunion photo we see applejack, applebloom and big mac all the same age and not little. Also in S1E4 Applejack says the ponies that Twilight met in episode 1 were there for THE reunion. Could It have been 8 years already since twilight's arrival or is it just a writers goof? 3. Dreamwalker Luna- this isn't really a plot hole, however, could it be that nopony remembered her advice in their dreams if she had this power pre- Nightmare Moon? And therefore felt that she got no recognition in that sense either? Or it could just be that she was given this job after her return to make her feel more useful. Please tell me what you think/if you found more plot holes. And again, i love this show, but i noticed some problems in some episodes. That said, i hope S4 gives me some answers!
