No offense, but don't you think that you are being a bit too melodramatic?

I mean, sure, standing up for them didn't work out as good as intended, but you didn't draw any hate either. From what I've seen this far, everyone was being rather objective and didn't utter any grudge against you.

If there is any place to stand up for your friends, it's thhis very place. You don't deserve any hate, but respect.

So please stop your self-pity and pursading you...

Try seeing this from his point of view. Some friends you make, you develop strong bonds with, and when that bond is obscured or destroyed, it destroys a part of you as well. No matter what that person did, sometimes, the heartbreak can completely mask the betrayal.
