Yes, (although the mocktroids in Maridia were early clones) after the Metroid were created by the Chozo to combat the X, they were taken off of SR-388 by the GF and were stolen Samus went back to Zebes. After the prime games she went to SR-388 to exterminate the metroid, and she left the infant which became every other metroid in existence. It feels satisfying to meet someone who can rival my knowledge on nintendo franchises

Yeah, and one of them had native metroids while the other didn't (even though both were colonized by Chozo)

Also, and this was a substantial lot harder to find, what is often mistaken for a Geemer in Metroid 2 is a Tsumuri, as they have similar capabilities

They were not on SR388, but they did make appearances in the Talon Overworld on the way to the Chozo Ruins and Magmoor Caverns.
