  1. I beat hell! I beat frickin' hell in Spelunky! It was the first time I beat the game, and the first time I beat Hell.

  2. Happy birthday to the official forum neckbeard! :)

      Thank you very much!

  3. I got to the Temple with the Hedjet, and Scepter, but died RIGHT before I got into the City of Gold. Life hates me, I think.

  4. Well hello there! I'm Star Swirl the Neckbearded, and I'm new here as well =P I hope you enjoy your stay here!
  5. For females: Alyson, Catherine, Jessica, Jennifer, Taylor, Rachel, Melody, and Alexandria. For males: Brad, James, Jonathan, Jason, Thaddeus, and Alex. I have more, I think, but I can't think of them now that I'm trying to!
  6. I agree with this entirely. Twilight may have lost the duel in terms of actual performance, but that is irrelevant, I think. Trixie cheated, plain and simple. We both know who would win in an actual magic duel between Twilight and Trixie, if they'd be left to their own strength and not artificially boosted. To say that Trixie won the second duel is still kind of silly though when you consider that of course Twilight couldn't actually win that. . . Trixie used an amulet that amplifies her powers. . .
  7. Some time in February, it's hard to tell. In 2012, me and my friend said to each other "I bet I can put up with watching My Little Pony longer than you," and sense we're the most childish 20 year olds in the world, I took him up on it. After we watched the episode, I felt an urge to watch it again at some point. That's all she wrote XD
  8. This is actually a really good point. I don't think her friends would do that, but maybe some everyday people will, and that could actually be a really good conflict. Kind of like how Luna just want's people to call her Luna, rather than Princess Celestia.
  9. Personally, I think it will depend on what responsibilities she will take on. If she has to run an empire, which I doubt, then I think she'd do better than we think she would, but that would interfere with her friendships, so she might not handle that well. If she has to take on a responsibility that nopony has heard of before, she might do okay at first, but I think she'd need some books to read on the subject, though none would exist. Basically, I'm not sure we can know at this time, but I think she'll do just fine
  10. Yeah's actually! Lot's of folks these day's are goin' with flashy, over-the-top moves, but I's like to keep it simple. My Signature Move is the Spinnin' Pile-Drivah. It's short, sweet, and it knocks a lot of ponies out. Of course, I's could do some'n fancy, if I wanted to. But I'd rather spend that energy kickin' my's opponent in the face!
  11. Well's uh, I's not exactly sure's what you's are sayin'. But I've only lost a hooful of times, and I'll admit that they's were mostly pretty good wrestlers. One times to the Flyin' Filly, a masked wrestla' (I hate masked wrestla's, but she was pretty good), and one time to Larry It. But I's not gonna say one nice word about's the time when Camel Clutch cheated! He got his assistant to distract the ref! I lost my's title to that chump, and when I see's him again at the Mane Event, I's gonna show him a thing or two.
  12. (Ooc: Out of character text will be used minimally, if at all possible. For the most part, Vice Grip will be doing the talking.) Hey's young Fillies and Colts, it's your favorite Wrestler's Vice Grip! I's here to provide ya's with some Q'n'a opportunities, so if ya's gots a question, ask away! To provide ya's with a little context, I's a professional wrestla' from Manehattan. I's an earth pony like my Pa, but my Ma's a pegasus. My cutie mark's a steel chair, of course! And my rival's name is Camel Clutch, the Camel from some far off land or somethin'. I've injured some's chumps in the past with my's signature move, the Spinnin' Pile-Drivah, which has been banned in's a lot of circuits. Can't handle this stallion, I's guess. So ask's away! Most wrestlin' circuits are on break now's anywho.
  13. Shop Keepers, man. . .

I love killin' 'em and all, because they have all kinds of goodies, but they're so unpredictable!

  14. In case you do not know, Spelunky is a platforming game with Rogue-like elements, namely that if you die, that's it. Game over. But every time you play the game it has procedurally generated levels, so it's different every time you play it. You start out with 4 hearts, and the majority of starting enemies do 1 damage, although arrow traps do 2 damage (but they're pretty easy to avoid if you know what you're doing). The goal is to get to the end of the level alive, but on the way you can try to get the damsel, which gives you a kiss, which is 1 health, among other micro-goals. If you haven't seen this game, here is a gameplay video of a pretty good player. Now I'm absolutely in love with this game. It is my favorite indie game currently, and I play it every chance I get (which is about once a week, considering my ancient computer can't run it). The game has a lot of elements that are enjoyable to me, which is why I've delved so deeply into this game. What are your guys' opinions on this game? Have you played it, or the original before? What's your view on the Pitcher's Mitt, or the Climbing gloves? (Heavily debated topic within Spelunky ) Personally, I LOVE the Pitcher's Mitt, because it gives you infinite range and makes sticking Shop Keepers with a bomb a lot easier. I get why some people dislike it, because they're used to the 'arc' of the throw as it is, and the arc genuinely does have it's uses. But, being able to throw perfectly straight for an infinite distance is obviously a good thing as well. Now for the Climbing Gloves, I like them of course, and I think they're an awesome item. I tend to get myself killed by them, though . My favorite Item is the Shotgun. Pretty simple, but it has a lot of uses. Killing things, and 'Shotgun-jumping.' Thoughts?
