Very true. But if people were less picky about where they lived, then California wouldn't have a grossly larger population than Montana (38 million vs. 1 million), which is about the same size area-wise. Personally, I wouldn't mind living in the middle of nowhere, as long as I could get me a vast property for cheap. That's just me, though - many of my fellow Californians apparently can't survive without their lavish oceanside estates.

I want to live as far away from humans as possible.
