It is a good motto, however folks tend to try and troll bronies by using the term literally in that we should accept everyone and everything when that's clearly not possible in some situations.. And in a way yes, it is. both the fandom and that motto originated from 4chan.

Maybe Celestia and Luna have had children. But sired by a regular pony and therefore mortal. Celestia might be able to watch her subjects age and die but direct offspring are a different matter. That said, if Celestia's children grew on to have offspring of there own, it would have two possible uses. 1/The princesses would have a family, though it would be spread far and wide over time. 2/Being decended from her might allow for seemingly normal ponies to acsend to alicorn again.

Equestria has magic everywhere, The Everfree itself is powered by the Tree of Harmony for example. The frozen North seems to abundant with minerals that have even transformed the ponies themselves, The Crystal Heart seems to be Similar to the Tree. Its possible that opposites to this powerful artifacts exist beyond Equestria's boarders though to date the Alicorn Amulet is the only 'Dark Artefact' to be confirmed. The positions of raising the sun and moon have always existed though it took dozens of unicorns i concert to achieve. The fact that a single alicorn can it must have been a shock to them. I'd imagine Celestia and Luna probably earned thier positions because basically, I don't think a unicorn could stop them, even if they all tried. Also given Celestia is 1000 years old, her raising the sun became a fact of life for all ponies after that, its even a celebrated event during the solstice. Discord might have been originally a much more melevelent (Celestia's description of him dueing his rein implies this) but I think being in Equestria so long has actually diluted his magic and personality, creating the whimsical embodiment as we now know him.

Alicorns of MLP might not be natural creatures, but 'created' with magic as shown with Twilight and Cadence. It'd be crazy if the same force that created Discord has an opposite that created Celestia and Luna. Personally i think the Sisters were created though experimentation with the Elements of Harmony, combine this with the fact there is no mention of Alicorns before the unification where each race had its own ruler (Puddinghat, Platina and Hurricane). With racial tensions resolved only now would we see cross-breeding within the tribes that might possibly explain how Alicorns came to be.

With help, Trixie could be as good at Magic as Twilight just as with Lightning Dust could be as good a flier as Rainbow Dash. Both of these two believe they have to do everything alone to prove they are the best at what they do. Twilight has already shown Trixie that having friends is more important that how much magic prowess a pony has. Now we just need Lightning Dust to realise the same thing (i've read the original episode ended with her telling RD she was right to call her out for recklessness. They should have gone with that ending.)

nobody believes a leader can stay in power that long and not be corrupt in some way these days. Not surprsiing given the falls from grace of some real world leaders.

If people think Alicorns are OP, i'll just rewrite Mal using 40k lore rules. Behold as my earth pony is now immune to magic, disease, biologically immortal and can kill gods and demons with his bare hooves.
