  1. As much as I'm a fan of Sunset and her demon form-unfortunately, unless it's revealed that she has the same kind of magic-draining powers as Tirek, I don't think even she would be able to stand up against him.
  2. Given my past experience with some of my 'friends' I think I'd rather have some sort of definitive purpose for my life.
  3. Depends on your definition-I still write and read fan works and look at fan art, but I lost interest in the show itself and stopped watching around the 100th episode.
  4. Correction: They were close to war before each leaders advisor told them to chill out. My bad-it's been a while since I saw that one.
  5. Also according to the play on "Heath's Warming Eve" Equestria was founded during a three-way war between Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth Ponies over land.
  6. I wouldn't say 'ruined' but the music video for Seperate Ways/Wordls Apart by Journey was really underwhelming for me after hearing what sounded like such an epic song.
  7. I think she'll return by the Season 5 finale if not sooner because we know next to nothing about her back story, plus she's still somewhere in Equestria doing damage (or planning to) with her twisted philosophy. I can't think of any villains that weren't soundly defeated before a season ended, even Discord was turned to stone before being brought back. Plus, I think someone who works on the show teased her return on twitter.
  8. I use to use Internet Explorer for a few users until my brother showed me Chrome.
  9. Yeah, it especially annoys me when it directly contradicts something that was previously established-it kind of takes me out of the story.
  10. I'm pretty sure she is, she seems to have the traits of a hippie stereotype, her eyes are half-closed through most of the episode and she always mellow, as well as the fact that she forgot who Discord was in the same episode-he's not the kind of person you can forget easily.
  11. After two years, I finally reached Phoenix rank.
  12. Apparently. I have a "Creative Mind" and the results appear to be more or less lined up with who I am except for "The glass is half full part".
  13. It doesn't really bother me that much, we literally waited nearly a year for this season to air-so a few weeks doesn't seem like that big of a deal in comparison.
  14. I only take my showers scalding hot-which is weird because I've been told that when I was a baby I would always cry in the bathtub, unless the water was extremely cold.
  15. Discord pre-"Twilight's Kingdom", in that he was both competent and a villain who enjoyed being jerk to everyone "for the lulz". Queen Chrysalis (show only) for being smart enough to able to deceive everyone through playing up the Bridezilla angle and wounded gazelle gambits during her impersonation of Cadance, building up enough power to challenge Celestia and overpower her, plus she had a really good song-too bad she warned everyone ahead of time with that threat she issued to Canterlot causing everyone to be on high alert through the entire ordeal. Starlight Glimmer also had some valid points in her philosophy (as flawed as it may have been) that really came to my attention previously in "Magical Mystery Cure" about how Cutie Marks really do seem more like a burden, than a gift considering how they are shown to affect their owner's personality, memory, happiness, and possibly even their free will. Film villains (assuming they count); Sunset Shimmer for being a Satanic archetype in not just her demonic form, but with her backstory and history with Celestia, plus the fact that she knew how to emotionally manipulate everyone that could potentially interfere with her plans, plus she tried to straight-up murder Twilight with a fireball in addition to her brainwashed army from the school that would transform into their equine counterparts once going through the mirror had she succeeded-making her a far more legitimate threat than I would ever have come to expect from the film. Aria Blaze, her grouchy, dismissive attitude is something I could identify with in regards to Sonata and her antics as I found them more annoying than funny, plus she reminded me more of the old Sunset Shimmer than the other two.
  16. I think I'm actually one of the few who liked her as a villain back in the original Equestria Girls, while her being the school bully who could do pretty much whatever she wanted and manipulate everyone was a bit cliche', I enjoyed the part where she turned into a literal a demon and she was the first villain shown to actually attempt to kill another character, since the film came out before the flashback with Nightmare Moon and Celestia showing just how much of a threat she was even without the brainwashing (though,at the time I did think that her demon form might have freaked a few kids out). In the sequel, I liked her even more and felt very sympathetic towards her and was disappointed that she didn't get to return to Equestria or at the very least speak with her mentor again with some kind of emotional reconciliation, which felt wasted when she wrote to Celestia about Twilight. Possible spoiler for those who haven't read the Holiday Special comic;
  17. Maybe a little disappointed, but not too upset. "Magical Mystery Cure" already felt like the series finale to me when it aired and some of the other cartoons I loved were cancelled after only two seasons, whereas Friendship is Magic has already made it to five. Besides, the fandom is not exactly dying out-so there would still be a healthy amount of fanmade content still available.
  18. Least favorites? I will list them and give reasons why I dislike these characters and would like to clarify that I have nothing against those that don't share my opinion. -Snowflake/Roid Rage/Bulk Biceps he is one-off gag that I always felt was more obnoxious than funny, has an ugly character design, and he's entire role in "Rainbow Falls" (along with Fluttershy) not taking the qualification seriously-begging the question of why they even bothered to show up, which gave Dash's indecision more merit, while simultaneously helping discredit Twilight's guilt-trip. -Snips and Snails seemed to be intentionally unlikable to me in "Boast Busters" with the fact that they are the driving force of the episode's conflict, made Trixie homeless, and got off with a slap on the wrist despite nearly killing everyone in town due to their recklessness at the end of the episode. -Featherweight for not only getting away for spying on and taking pictures of everyone for blackmail purposes, but actually getting awarded with a promotion to editor-in-chief at the end of "Ponyville Confidential". -Prince Blueblood is pretty self-explanatory as the writer's made him intentionally unlikable due to being a self-centered snob. -Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoons are spoiled jerks and bullies who rarely get punished for any of their actions. -The Wonderbolts; they are cowards and frauds (Secret of My Excess), three of them couldn't stop a single falling Unicorn without getting knocked unconscious (Sonic Rainboom), Soarin is too easily forgiving and an idiot (The Best Night Ever, Rainbow Falls), Spitfire is a hypocrite for praising Lightning Dust for her reckless behavior, but kicking her out of the academy for it later and only when Dash calls her out, while conveniently forgetting the fact that she was also responsible for creating the tornado (Wonderbolt Academy) and she along with Fleetfoot are lying, manipulative jerks who got a slap on the wrist for their actions as they were easily forgiven for them (Rainbow Falls). It honestly baffles me that Rainbow Dash would want to be on the same team with a bunch of jerks with no sense of ethics or morals after seeing their unscrupulous behavior firsthand. -King Sombra, I hate him more than any other villain for the fact that he was underwhelming and I was angry because felt like he was a waste of time as he never gave off the same vibe as Sauron (as was intended) due to not nearly having as much build up, the lack of an army or followers to actually do stuff for him, he barely had any dialogue, Luna and Celestia did not even need the Elements of Harmony to stop him the first time-making him seem like a less credible threat than Nightmare Moon and Discord, he was defeated by a baby dragon. With that said, it is ironic that he had the best written issue from Fiendship is Magic. Finally, there is Angel Bunny, I hate him because he's a jerk to and almost never gets punished for it; slapping Fluttershy (Putting Your Hoof Down) and messing with Spike (Just For Sidekicks) with probably more of this type of behavior to come in the future-he comes off as more of a bully than anything else, which is why I loved the scene where Discord messes with him in "Keep Calm and Flutter On" and getting kicked in the mud in "Castle, Sweet Castle" in my opinion, he deserves every ounce of suffering he gets and then some.
  19. Only my family and close friends know. I am more than a little ashamed when they try to talk to me about it (especially in public) since that invites judgement and ridicule to those who might overhear, which does nothing to help my social anxiety.
  20. I dreamed that I was cleaning my ears with a Q-tip, but before I could throw it in the trash bin, someone skateboarder (who was in my house, apparently) stopped me and said that they would be willing to donate handsomely to two different charities for each end proportionate to the amount of earwax on each end.
  21. Ian, it sounds far less pretentious than my real name.
  22. Yeah, though all I've really written is fanfiction (which feels mediocre at best)-I even wanted to write novels as a career, but quickly gave up when I realized how unrealistic those expectations were.
  23. Yes, because it makes me sound like a pretentious jerk since it literally means; "excellent or valuable"
  24. Probably a dragon-people are less likely to be jerks to you if you're a huge, fire-breathing dragon-especially since the fully grown ones also seem to mostly be alone in caves. I also don't believe that all dragons are jerks (look at Spike). Although, the hordes of treasure aspect has always eluded me, since they don't need to spend it on anything-so what's the point of having it? What about the fire breath that lets Spike send letters?
  25. I'm okay with the show the way it is. From what I understand that other fans have different views on what the series should be for different reasons; some may believe that since that certain changes may make the show better to attract a larger audience, they may feel insecure about being fans because of certain aspects of the show, they may have enjoyed some of the darker aspects that the show has presented and wish to see more, and certain fans may also be too involved in their own politics and wish for the show to portray messages that align with their ideals. Humor is subjective-just because someone thinks that something is funny, doesn't necessarily everyone will agree with them-I personally, am not a fan of slapstick and usually indifferent to it, unless it's happening to a character that I'm angry with or am clearly supposed to hate-but, if it happens to a character that is meant to be sympathetic and has already been consistently then instead of joy, I'll probably just feel sorry for them. Some people also just aren't fans of downer endings, even when they are meant to be comedic like "Swarm of the Century", this might be because they are more sensitive and empathetic to certain characters (which is the reason for some double-standards, such as any character making Fluttershy cry instantly becoming hated, but she may do the same to another without earning as much scorn.) So, a lot of it comes down to the individual with their sensitivity and sense of humor as well as the writing and execution of certain jokes, which may fall flat for some, or in the worst cases come off as too mean-spirited and make them angry as was the case with the scenes with Angel in "Putting Your Hoof Down" or Pinkie Pie in "Filli Vanilli" being some more infamous examples. While I agree that it is a bad idea to push any sort of political agenda into the show as that will only serve to alienate viewers, if not anger them-I took "The Cutie Map" to be more of a homage to "1984" and a follow up to some questions raised by "Magical Mystery Cure" (which Larson also wrote) than any sort of intentional political message on the writers' part.
