  1. Chrome, it's faster and smoother than internet explorer and it's not too complicated when it comes to add-ons.
  2. Usually by accident, but sometimes it's easier when I'm writing if they're initials or a character is yelling.
  3. If this is true, I won't get my hopes up-Activision drove Guitar Hero into the ground the first time around thanks to their over-saturation of the franchise and big corporations seldom learn from their stupid mistakes. Even if a new Guitar Hero or Rock Band come out they will probably only be Xbone and PS4 exclusives, maybe they'll release them later on the Wii U later on, but I'm skeptical they'll be released for the 360 or the PS3 if they wait too long. There is also the issue of instruments being super rare now, since most stores where I am don't carry them anymore-my brother recently had to driver up somewhere to get a drum set he paid for online, but hopefully with the new games they'll release new, sturdier instruments.
  4. I do agree with him being less creepy as he got bigger, his skeletal old body was something that I legitimately found kind of creepy when he began draining all the ponies at that opera or whatever that stage show was and his John DiMaggio sounding voice when he got bigger was something I found more hilarious than intimidating. But, I also agree that without all of that magic it wouldn't have been much of a struggle on Twiilight's part. That's why I wish there was some kind of middle ground, like him being able to keep his weakened form while using powerful magic, or having his larger form with a different, more gravelly voice. Aside from voice and physical appearance, I did find it pretty disappointing that he had nearly unlimited potential with Discord's chaos magic, yet had almost no imagination when it came to utilizing it-since all he did was trap Twilight's friends in magical bubbles.
  5. I agree, since I think that's the only way they would be able to top Tirek as a villain in terms of how much of a threat he was.
  6. Copyright issue for a lot of the older names not being available, the ones that were carried over to G4 were exceptions...it's a tricky subject-especially these days-the best guess I can come up with is kind of like how Marvel Studios has cinematic rights to a lot of their characters, but they sold the cinematic rights of Spider-Man to Sony which is why they had to make a deal. There are a few factors as to why Celestia was made a princess instead of a queen as Lauren originally intended; being pre-Frozen, thanks to Disney there was a largely negative stigma about Queens in animated children's media were mostly (if not always) seen as evil (which would only make memes like Tyrantlestia far more prevalent). Princesses are also likely to sell more among the show's target demographic as in Meghan McCarthy's own words; "Every little girl wants to be a princess." as opposed to queens who are again, seen as mean if not downright evil (see Queen Chrysalis) and sometimes ugly in Snow White's case. Cadance was originally meant to be a Pegasus-but, the toy was designed as an Alicorn princess-so, the they kind of had to run with it. And while Hasbro has the right to do what they want with the franchise, episodes like "Suite for Success" definitely seems to me more like a meta way for venting frustration between juggling artistic vision and quality with demands from the studio in retrospect...
  7. I am actually, but I doubt Equestria Girls 3 will go in that direction-even if there's just the human world Twilight she'll probably end up with Flash due to all the ship teasing from the first two films.
  8. While I've been more or less indifferent until Rainbow Rocks, I do understand the issues people have with it. A lot of people originally got into the show and became invested in ponies and the world of Equestria with the magic and mythological creatures there. There's the accusation that main character has a love interest, which doesn't really go over to well with said love interest being underdeveloped and not having much personality aside from bumping into and having a crush on said character. It also doesn't help that development of the Equestria Girls films has also delayed and cut into the production of a few seasons, which hasn't really helped endear many fans. Back to the film itself, the fact that it centers on high school drama is something some people aren't really to keen on, which doesn't help that the film is riddled with plotholes.
  9. I was vaguely aware of its existence as best, all I knew was that it was toyline.
  10. I'm pretty sure that was a joke, I'm highly skeptical of any character being killed off that's not an irredeemable villain on this show. The writers like to make jokes like that-remember those tweets that Meghan made about episode titles that was really just an April Fool's prank?
  11. Well, my friends and I call her Vinyl Scratch and like to believe that DJ-Pon3 is just her stage name used for merchandise.
  12. I think it's Magic because it's been stated in the opening theme, the pilot, and by Discord that it's the rarest and the spark needed for the other Elements to be anything but rocks (and later fancy jewelry) Outside of the show, I put a lot of value in loyalty.
  13. For me it's a tie between Seasons 1 and 2. Season 4 is in third. Season 3 is at the bottom of my list, it felt really sloppy and rushed overall, it has a few episodes that I liked and considered good, but they were far outweighed by the other episodes and their flaws and the finale had both of it's biggest issues along with a mishmash of two plots that felt like two different episodes that weren't given enough time to be fully fleshed out and raised more disturbing questions than it was willing to answer in regards to destiny, free will, and Cutie Marks.
  14. I don't think so. In one episode there was a photo of Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Spike drinking it together and the latter is a baby dragon, so I think the only reason it's hyped up so much in the show is because in Ponyville the only source is Sweet Apple Acres and given the special talents of the family who provides it, it would make sense that they really enjoy the taste and quality of it. Salt on the other hand is something that I believe was intentional by the writers as an alcoholic reference, since a stallion drunk on salt licks is seen getting thrown out of an establishment in "Over A Barrel".
  15. Personally, I'd prefer it if the show stayed as Frienship is Magic, rather than Romance. If true love is ever needed to solve a problem in the future, they can just use Cadance and Shining Armor again. Besides them, there are already canon romances within the show such as The Cakes or Cranky with Matilda if they writers really wanted to an episode focusing on relationships for whatever reason.
  16. I saw it as a little of both, honestly-Pinkie Pie wasn't trying to further alienate Luna by scaring everyone, but she didn't understand that they weren't just being scared to have fun-they were genuinely terrified that she might snap and go all Nightmare Moon on them, so her playing around like Luna was only made the situation worse. I wasn't aware the word was that recent, but it makes sense...when she first hears about it and throws the spider she says; "You're Princess enjoys this...fun!" which implies that she was aware of the concept and just didn't understand what the word meant up until that point.
  17. It varies... For the most part, I think the traditional pony versions look the best. As the human counterparts, while not necessarily ugly are more than a little jarring in contrast and are a little off-putting in that regard. The anthropomorphic designs seem really lazy as they just have ears and tails added (and wings sometimes, but not horns-what's up with that?), the only exceptions would have to be the Dazzlings and Sunset Shimmer's demon form, which is my favorite by far. Breezie forms have a sort of ugly-cute, uncanny valley effect on me that I can't used to for the Mane Six. Rainbow Power feels like there is too much color and vibrance for a few characters, while others like Twilight have so little difference from their default appearance, there was no real impact on me.
  18. I think the reason she became so popular is because she's like the evil Pinkie Pie who seems to be one of the most popular of the Mane Six, while some people seem to conveniently forget the evil part of her personality and believe that she's really good, but is too emotionally abused by Aria and Adagio to stand up to her. Which, I don't really buy given Her airheadedness is something that also seems to appeal to others due to her occasional moments of randomness and how it contrasts with Adagio and Aria, who seem to be far more serious and methodical about their plans. And of course, the aesthetics of her character design also seem to be a significant factor as she comes off as cute to some. I am glad that Maryke Hendrikse got to come back to do a voice for the franchise again-even if it wasn't for Gilda-but, the siren herself annoys me, personally.
  19. My younger brother used to be one before I was, but he despises Twilight and when I asked why he claimed that her occasional condescending attitude towards others was very annoying, so he quit the fandom as soon as she became an Alicorn Princess.. So, it's just me now.
  20. Luna. Selene sounds more like some kind of vampiric queen, rather than a benovolent princess who protects children.
  21. I don't think I ever actually took the test, but if anything, I'd say my IQ is probably below average given my academic record.
  22. Only time travel if I, or someone who was more experienced was with me and knew what and what not to do to disrupt the balance of the time line and there was a way to prevent accidentally bringing back more evolved viruses and wiping out entire civilizations with less developed immune systems, in the future one would probably be seen as less intelligent and civilized, plus the added risk of contracting a new disease in the future that could be devastating to someone from our time, or possibly destroying the universe or erasing one's own existence through an accidental paradox. Going to Equestria seems to be far less likely to be encountered with hostility than the misunderstandings of running into people of different time periods and far less likely to be executed due to such a misunderstanding, the possibility for disease is still likely, and while I would definitely miss my friends and family, it would be far more intriguing to experience something that someone from our world has never gotten the chance to in constrast to something millions of people have experienced in the past and will experience in the future.
  23. Yeah, I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't bring that up-they actually could have had a scene with Twilight trying to talk to a horse for like five minutes before realizing that horses in the human world can't speak like the ones in Equestria. Though, I'm sure they are both intelligent enough to eventually figure it out, but the differences would still probably be pretty jarring for them.
