Yeah it does suck but then again Russia is such an amazingly massive country that the times must be real far apart at each end, how many time zones does Russia cross exactly.

Eight time zones. I'm from Moscow - west Russia, and I have day when Vashington have night. But east russia - Vladivostok for example have time zone what close to USA time zone ( especialy Alaska state) Alaska was our gift to usa by the way
