One thing I can't wrap my head around is how people say DiMaggio's hitting streak is the most unbreakable record.

As damn-near unbreakable as it is, there's a needle in a haystack chance for it.

Young's 511 wins, however, isn't ever going to be broken. The way the game is pitched today won't allow for it.

Exactly. Despite the fact that no one has come very close since Rose, I think DiMaggio's streak will be broken eventually. But Young's wins, Henderson's SBs, Rose's hits, and Ryan's Ks will likely stand forever. It's not just the way the game itself is played, it's the length of careers, the prevalence of injuries, the defensive and offensive switches that are so much more common nowadays...

Yeahh. I don't know if it will be broken, but the game today allows it.
