  1. Not only do I like the current version of Amy, I also like how she can stand up to herself and help her friends no matter the cost. Truly, she's a freedom fighter to all of us.
  2. My first Spirit? When I started playing the game for the first time, mine was Infinite from Sonic Forces.
  3. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. We wouldn't have CPU players to face or stuff happening by chance otherwise. I should've been more specific. Whoopsie. On what you said about AI generations, I completely agree. Public use of AI is a serious issue to tackle and there must be laws and regulations to reduce risks.
  4. Hello everypony. There's something I really wanna discuss here and it's not something I'm happy with. It's about content generated by artificial intelligence. That's right. I'm ridin' the stormy waves here. Before I start, I'm NOT against users on here who are in that sort of stuff. I'm talking about the use of AI in general. At first, I thought it was an interesting idea to just mess around with the AI of video-game characters such as Team Fortress 2. I too made a couple of videos using a tool called 15.ai. That was before I realized what the humongous downside of using AI in creative content is. Since AI has been used widely, we aren't aware of the sheer consequences it brings for us and I fear it'll get worse in the future if we don't do something about it quickly. Here are the reasons I learned before creating this topic.: Reason 1: Voice actor theft. I saw several headlines that AI-generated content creators use voices of voice actors either from video games and movies without permission just to make their own stuff, which leaves a big toll on those who do it for a living. It pains me to see someone like Erica Lindbeck who voices Futaba from Persona 5 get bullied just because she told someone who told someone to take the content down containing her voice. That's something Princess Twilight Sparkle doesn't want to see. It's no wonder it left a lingering effect on Hollywood Studios, causing the actors to go on strike 'cause of the use of AI. Reason 2: Use of AI in video games. One big example is Enchanted Portals, a clone of Cuphead. The level layouts and enemy placements in the game are randomized for each playthrough which players don't like. The reason why is because the game used AI to make levels for them. That's right, AI made the 2D platformer levels with enemies and platforms all over the place. That, goes against the rules of level design. Levels must have one single structure to follow for players to enjoy the game. Reason 3: Lack of creative development: This, in my opinion, is the biggest reason why the use of AI in creative content terms is bad. It hinders our ability to create something we put our heart and soul into, such as a masterclass portrait which took a lot of patience to make, or such a stunning animation as Pizza Tower. Using AI causes our creative growth over the years to be completely redundant. We get in the backseat while the computer makes something soulless for us. It should be the other way round where we put our abilities to the test. We may not be perfect, but there's something we have that AI doesn't: evolution. Those reasons are why it'll be a big concern for the newer generation when it comes round, because if the use of AI goes outta control, they won't have the creative mindset we have now which'll leave a severe impact on video-game and movie companies. Instead, I think we should use AI for other stuff such as rescue operations and life support more while maintaining our creative skills with our minds and hooves (and magic if you're a unicorn). I know there are rules starting to take place but So yeah, that's what I think of the whole situation. I'm very sorry if this topic made you uncomfortable. Once again, I'm not against anyone on here who's into it, but I just want to see everypony grow as content creators themselves. We are very intelligent beings in the world and a big imagination as well and we must prove it with the help of constructive criticism. That way, we can climb even higher, leaving inspiration to our newer generation. But I'll finish this topic with a question. Do you think content generated by AI should be banned or do you think there should be more strict rules in place so that the use of it doesn't spiral out of control like a cloud? Thanks for reading and I hope you have a nice day.
  5. To all Splatoon 3 players, I wish you the very best of luck in the one year anniversary Splatfest!

  6. Hi everypony. There's something that's been on my mind for a while now and I need to get it out by discussing it here. It's about this popular game "Among Us". Yes, among us, amogus, sus, sussy, vents, imposter and a whole bunch of other jazz. Back then, it took gameplay with an innovative approach which gave birth to its own memes just about everywhere. But now it feels like it overstayed its welcome and is becoming more of an attention cow for others to grab. (I'm talking to you, Fortnite.) The game and the memes around it were funny at first, but now, I think it's getting outdated with forced content in places in a desperate attempt to make others laugh or even give out a chuckle. Before you ask yes, I did play the game myself. I played the tutorial, tried to connect to a lobby, left the game and uninstalled it due to the cringe of memes. I think that's the reason why it's driving other users away from the series and making videos saying stuff like "STAHP POSTING ABOUT AMONG US!". That's just my experience in Among Us (or Amoonguss if you're into Pokemon). However, if it's not going stale in the slightest, I need to understand why it's still going strong with stuff that I believe is considered cringe, such as pointing at a trash can that looks like a Crewmate and saying "amogus" or a certain fire alarm and saying "amogus". I get the jokes and I get the innovative gameplay, but where's the joy? That is the question. What do you think? Is Among Us getting stale with its content or is it coming up with new innovations to keep the series going? I am sorry if this discussion makes you feel uncomfortable if you're into the series. If you're in it, that's fine. I'm just not a fan of the series as a whole right about now. Unless I need to look at it from a different perspective. At the end of the day, we all have different opinions and we need to respect each other because of it. That's what these discussions are there for, to share our opinions on the topic.
  7. Hi there! Welcome to the MLP Forums. We hope you'll have a wonderful time here.
  8. Hello everypony! Boy, it's been so long since I last arrived here. I am excited for what's happening in a couple of days' time. Why? It's because the Splatoon 3 World Premiere will happen as we're getting very close to the release of the game. Seeing the all-new Salmon Run Next Wave, the campaign, the table turf battle along with all new and returning stages, paint weapons and best of all, Deep Cut. The game's gonna be so awesome! All that waiting for the game to be shown in full detail was worth it. Not only that, the Splatfests are back! Why is why I made this thread to ask you a question. If you're taking part in the Splatfest, which team out of the three will you pick? Will you pick the hard-hitting Team Rock approved by Maud? Will you pick Team Paper that unfolds whatever it has in store? Or will you pick Team Scissors which cuts oppositions down to size? Whichever team you pick, I wish you the very best of luck. No matter what happens, the most important thing is to have a fun time. That's what these events are made for. May you give it your all in the Splatoon 3 World Premiere Splatfest! Until then, have a nice day and staaaaaaaaaaaaaay FRESH!
  9. Isn't the Nintendo Switch powerful enough already graphic-wise?
  10. Hello everypony. There's something I would like to discuss. In most gaming streams and social media sites I go to, I see comments and users shouting "Let's go!" with several o's at the end of it whenever something big happened like the team won a big game or there's fantastic news about something. I've seen it used a lot, almost like its some sort of celebration or battle cry which can cause irritation to some others than the rest of the cheering methods, especially when they lose to the team shouting the phrase (and me). I think that can be a problem because other people who hear the cheer could either leave the area with disgust or, worse-case scenario, if the cheer was used in public, they could step up right in their face and yell: Eggman Silence - YouTube Okay, I may be overthinking about how it's used, but I see it as a common trend. It's another thing I need to learn more about. What makes "Let's go!" a popular cheer for everyone in general?
  11. Oh man, Sonic the Hedgehog Movie 2 is hands down the best video game adapted movie so far in my tastes. I recommend giving it a watch.

    1. Castle Bleck

      Castle Bleck

I'm hearing good things about it, just-like with the first.

    2. Tom Gallagher

      Tom Gallagher

I really need to see it! :sneer:

  12. If the characters from Gen 4 aren't going to be featured in the comic series, who'll be in charge as ruler of Equestria?
  13. None of them. Their goal was to brainwash people so they could adore them and you've guessed it, take over the world.
  14. So it almost sounds like nothing will happen to the rest of the games that do not involve anything Russian military related, correct?
  15. Hi everypony. There's something that's been on my mind in light of recent world events which I will not say due to reasons. It's about military and shooter video games from all consoles that are coming soon. I'm concerned that what's going on right now could impact releases of upcoming games coming soon or even worse, hurt sales. I know these kind of games have been around long ago and we still enjoy them even to this day. But to read that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was delayed because of it, I fear the same could apply to other military-based shooter games or a variety of shooter games, especially Splatoon 3 which I'm so looking forward to. Do you think this could happen soon enough? Please let me know as soon as you can.
  16. I disagree. Just because the art style is different than the movie, doesn't mean it's IMMEDIATELY going to suck. I'd give it a watch and see what our first impression is. Maybe it'll be as good as the previous ones we've seen. Remember, we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Look back at Equestria Girls. When the trailer was shown for the first time, the fans hated it. But when we've watched the movie, it was good and made the series a success. The same goes to Pony Life too. It had some moments that made us laugh. Everything deserves a chance, no matter how different the art style may be.
  17. Hello there. This is a short topic because I want to ask what in the world is going on with the hate on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer. It does look promising as it more lore on The Lord of the Rings universe. Not only that, I look in the comment section and everyone is saying the same quote from this J.R.R. Tolkien guy. like they're reading a bible. Are they really THAT hurt over the new trailer? Is the history of the hate on the reveal of Equestria Girls repeating itself once more but in Lord of the Rings form? I need to know to get to the bottom of this.
  18. Happy Hearts and Hooves Day everypony!

    1. Tom Gallagher

Happy Hearts and Hooves Day, BFFFF! ^_^

  19. Could it be that King Sombra is back once again? If so, that's a big problem for the new generation of ponies.
  20. Yes. Spike is a wonderful companion to have. I can't imagine the Crystal Empire's fate and the Mane Six without him.
  21. Hello all. There's something that's been on my recently and that's the destructive criticism we see more than constructive criticism. Destructive criticism comes in the form of angry comments, rants on YouTube from reviewers and worse, bullying. It's a method that attacks people and companies who make projects (such as video games and movie) with shame, threats and hate which demotivates them to continue doing what they love. It's a rash act that gives a backlash to many. Plus, it drains a lot of energy from you if you just burst out with rage like a flame cannon. Personally, I firmly believe the best way to give improvements to project developers is to give constructive criticism. It's a more friendly approach that gives out better results if done correctly. That way, companies can succeed even more with this type of feedback obtained from reviewers. This goes to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls too. So what really is the purpose of destructive criticism and what do those that do it hope to gain? I know some users on YouTube like The Angry Video Game Nerd and The Nostalgia Critic do it for show but what other reason is there? Is it because they want to emerge as victors just so show everyone they are on the right and they are on the wrong? Is it because of some childhood experience? Please let me know as I like to gain knowledge from this.
  22. No matter who will be revealed as the last fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we must all give Sakurai a big fat heart-shaped thank you for everything he has done.
