      Yet no one presumed that the fiendish, devilish Shad would actually pay the item's prince in her own register, then deliberately letting it slip through her fingers and into the ground. After her daily shift was over, the wicked fiend would find some money in the ground, and, facing the dire situation of not being able to return it to its true owner, she would keep it safe.
