    I have a commission I need to work on first, but after that I think I have a hankering to draw some of my original character ideas. And I mean my TRULY original ideas, not based on any franchise.

    They don’t have fleshed out stories yet, but maybe designing them will get me inspired.

      Oh, there’s always design trends to an artist’s style! Me, I tend to go for Huge but Harmless! Friendly, oafish monsters!

      I like having a character’s appearence tie into, if not cause, notable aspects of their personality. Like smaller bodies get scrappier & more defensive; a huge beast that can’t figure out why he can’t make friends when everybeing flees in terror.

       And upside is, you can elaborate a character from a franchise to the point they become untethered from any but their own world!
