    So everyone knows how much I love Ahuizotl, but can we just take a second to appreciate how awesome Cipactli is as well?

    MLP kind of undersells Cipactli a little though. Cipactli in ACTUAL mythology was a gargantuan primordial crocodile/toad monster that the gods killed and then used it’s body to make the Earth.

    If that piqued your interest at ALL, seriously, go watch the video below. It sums up Cipactli quite nicely starting around 1:30, and contains the gloriously weird quote, “Blood sacrifices keep the planet from eating your feet”, a the end.

      I actually really do like MLP Cipactli a lot. I don’t know why, but it really makes me smile. It’s huge mouth, and mildly derpy reptile eyes, and the way it’s animated. XD

      I’ve already started coming up with headcanons for it.

      I keep calling it “it” because the irl Cipactli doesn’t have a determined gender, but I kind of want to call it a “she” because I find that even funnier. XD
