Okay, I need some answers. Even if you think I’ll disagree, I want your perspective anyway. I had to look up what everyone is freaking out about, and I think I found it.
From what I can see, cities are being overwhelmed by riots (not protests, actual riots) and Trump wants to back up the police with the military. This is apparently tyrannical to some.
Now I would totally see the problem if it was peaceful protests. People have the right to protest. But it’s NOT peaceful. Things are burning, people are dying and local authorities can’t seem to get a grip on things.
So if the police can’t stop it, and sending in the military is wrong, what SHOULD happen (in the opinion of whoever reads this)? Just allow things to keep spiraling?

Sure he is rich, but he obviously still don't know anything about politics rather they back him up or not. Ronald Reagan was at least a governor before he became president. Trump was not. In fact he has some failures despite his wealth. Sure a lot politicians are rich, but that still don't mean they know how to handle politics or be a good politician. Wealth doe not mean knowledge to everything.

Im actually kind of burned out on this right now. But I would like to make some closing notes:
I watched that video from earlier. I don’t trust that it’s just random police assault. It COULD be. But it far away, it’s blurry, and I don’t know what those people are saying to those police officers.
If you’re just standing there going, “BLACK LIVES MATTER! BLACK LIVES MATTER!” That’s perfectly fine.
But if you’re screaming something more along the lines of, “We’re going to roast you on a spit like the pigs you are!” That it a THREAT. That is not peaceful, and I have no pity for you getting mace-faced.
If you can’t threaten other regular people, then you can’t threaten cops either. Their uniforms do not magical take away the face that there’s a human being under there.
And as for “separating groups”, I’m well aware that there are protestors that are regular protesters. But 1) regular people can and do get whipped up into a frenzy, and 2) THE COUNTRY IS ON FIRE.
It’s horrid to me how many people seem to just be okay with that. “Give into us and we’ll stop destroying stuff.” Uh, no. Screw you. You stop acting like a psycho and then we’ll talk about your grievances.
If putting a pause on protests is needed to keep people’s lives from being actively destroyed right this second, I am fine with that.
The protests can start up again when the fringe nutcases are chased off. And yes, the fringe nutcases on BOTH extremes of the spectrum.
And that’s all I’m gonna say for now. I got some perspective on the “other side’s” thoughts, but the callousness towards riot/looting victims has been very disappointing. You can’t pretend to be compassionate towards human suffering and then be like, “But this is okay, because it’s the greater good.”
I’m watching people dig through the burned remains of this greater good and I am not inspired.

Quoteand I don’t know what those people are saying to those police officers.
Does it matter? They're not doing anything, and if a few people are making empty threats it doesn't justify tear gassing an entire crowd.
Edit: From what I can tell, a cop grabbed a sign. The protester tried taking it back. Another cop pepper sprayed. The rest of the cops followed in their violence.

People tried talking. It didn't work.

No. There will not be a pause.
