When I was a kid, the G1 Care Bears cartoon was on TV. I don't know if I was 5 years old or younger (might have been younger, I don't think I was in kindergarten quite yet). Watching that show creeped me out a little bit because the bears has this attack called the "Care Bear Stare" which shoots a magic beam from their bellies that FORCES people to be good/nice to each other. It scared me because I didn't want to be forced against my will to act/feel a certain way, and I didn't want my bratty kid behavior to be misinterpreted as "evil".
So, I found an open field and started yelling at the skies, telling the Care Bares to come out of hiding, get it over with, and just shoot me with the Stare all ready. ...Yes, I was so young that I honestly thought cartoon bears with super powers might be real. Thank goodness I did all that in a place where no one saw or heard me.
