    Decided to try journaling again. In the past every time I tried it, I just gave up and never bothered. But I figured that now that I’ve moved out on my own, it would be a good time to try again and maybe I’d have a lot more to talk about.

    And then the flipping snowpocalypse hits Texas not even a week after I moved and suddenly I’m having to hide out at my mom’s so I don’t starve/dehydrate/freeze to death.

    Gonna be an eventful few pages at the beginning of this journal...

      @ShadOBabe Ah, I see. I only do digital. But if you need help getting started, I say write down everything that happened in one day. No matter how mundane it is, write it down. Might come in handy later, or at least until you can get the hang of journaling. :eager:

    Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know you won’t see me for the foreseeable future.

    I managed to get home after being trapped at work by the winter storm, but I have to conserve phone charge because the power is out. I’m pretty toasty under my blankets, but I’ll have to be quiet.

      I was about to say your mom, because I usually reply that to my irl friends, but come to think about it I feel it would be misinterpreted as being nasty instead of giving a random response to just avoid saying the obvious answer.

      Hope you can use some cardboard as a mattress of sorts. It worked for me.

      Indeed. I had to switch to days to get stuff done for the move. But I have to go back to my night shift on Saturday, so I have to readjust again.

      Not to mention I’m just physically exhausted from carrying my stuff up to my apartment.

    Oh I got something I forgot to share. I am actually gonna start working on getting my own place!

    I was looking at the apartments near my workplace, and they’re actually quite affordable. So me and my mom are gonna go apartment browsing pretty soon.

    I don’t have a set date, but I would like to skedaddle before the summer heat hits. Who wants to move boxes in triple digit weather? :eww:

      @Samurai Equine Thanks! Nothing too interesting tho. Well except for the fact that it’s so homogeneous! That was a little surprising.

      But the way more interesting this was my health results. The only condition I tested as having a risk for was “age-related macular degeneration”. I expected WAY more!

      Not that I’m complaining!

    Phew, busy trip to the store. I spoiled myself a bit. I went to pick up my meds and some new jeans, left with a My Hero Academia Shirt and Pikmin 3 Deluxe. XD

    I almost left with a Spyro Plushie too, but when I got the the cashier, we realized he didn’t have any tags. I looked him up and turns out you can only get him on Amazon. So I presume someone lost him, and I took him to the Lost and Found at the front of the store.
