  1. Here in the UK, we don't really have any big ones. I guess Guy Fawkes Day/Bonfire Night (5 Nov) now im an adult, its just a hassle. It always rains, you have to pay to go to a fireworks display now and then when you live in the middle of town, literally every house is setting off the crappy little pop rockets, which is the most irritating thing to hear. Plus round here and at the run up to new years, fireworks are set off randomly. normally before the 5th and new years. blah. im getting irratable in my late 20s. Id say over here we love the Royal days - Queen's Birthdays and the Jubilees. Just more bank holidays for us working types!
  2. my entire childhood and early teen years was just horse focused. I used to ride every week. a friend of mine's Mum owns a livery yard so id get to go riding there too. My mum is very horsey and used to ride a lot until she had me. Ive not seen her on a horse ever tbh just photos of her on them. But I also used to be a part time stablehand and we had a shetland when i was a kid. My Mum's old pony, but he hated his back being touched so he was more of a pet pony than a ride. Since I left school, I have had no horse contact at all other than police horses or seieng them at shows. Ive not ridden in 10 years and it just makes me very sad not to be around horses anymore. =(
  3. nnnope, well not really. I like banana taste/flavour but not actual bananas. I just really can stand the texture, no matter if its sliced or mashed, i just dont like real bananas.
  4. oh man this ones kinda embarrasing. For the longest time I had a fear of being in or next to the bath when draining it after having a bath. I think it stemmed from the fear of spiders crawling up out of the plug hole, but I beleived that there was a monster living down the plug hole and that if I wasnt out of the bath when draining it, i would be sucked down and eaten by that monster >.< like it was so bad some times, id leave the bath still full of water and wait for my mum to pull the plug. Was never aproblem with showers, but back then I HATED showers and just getting my hair wet in general. I also thought there were skeletons living in our cellar back when we lived in a big old manor house. It had horrible scary crooked stairs to get down to it and what I remember is that there was an open dark area, with a coal door/shute and a corridor of wine racks at the back. I never went to the wine racks as thats where the skeletons were. Tbh if i went back there today, then I still wouldnt go back there. The last thing is kinda one of those, watched too many scary films as a kid, moments. My Family owns a shop and has down for generations, but in the last 15-20 years it has become quite derelict and creepy. Convinced its still haunted ot this day actually. The old upstairs flat/apartment has this really really creepy vibe to it. And there is a back room that connects the bathroom, main bedroom and corridor to the next door flat (which we own anyway). I still have a fear of this room. But I believed it was like a gateway to hell/another world/limbo etc just the scariest place ever and I could never make it home. I used to have nightmares about it featuring people id never seen....who turned out to be my ancestors who lived in the shop. Real creepy stuff! As a dare, I got pushed into that room and just kinda froze. But i did get out because my friends at the time were not scared of it. I think now im 27, I would pop my head around the door with a torch and see whats in it, but i still wouldnt go over the threshold on my own.
  5. the company is called OlyFactory. notorious for bootleg plushies, but they do make decent enough plushies of characters that do not have offcial plushies. I but them for ponies and pokemon ones. Then you have the offical ones from 4DE - which are pricey and kinda hard to come by now =/
  6. stealin my Soarin huh? notorious Soarin fangirl incomming! Stormy loves her Wonderbolt so much that she wears his issued hoodie and dog tags with his name and cutie mark on ;D
  7. this one boggles my mind whenever I think of ages in MLP. First off, being horsey person, I kinda go for the "how old would they be if they were real horses?" but the fandom seem to stick with them having human ages. So surely its a matter of, when do you stop calling a child a child, and when is teen an adult? In MLP i would like to think it goes like this (in human years) Foal: 0 - 3 years Colt (boy)/Filly (girl): 4 - 13 years Young pony (teen): 14 - 18 years Adult pony: 19+ Elder: 60+ I would put the CMC at 11 - 13 years old and the mane 7 within the 20 - 25 age range as of S7. As some just seem more mature than others. Plus we know Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie at least. I would place Spike's age at 13/14. We know that dragons hoard to actually grow, but Spike has the mentallity of a young teen for sure. He's actually quite mature and smart, but the fandom doesnt give him much credit for it.
  8. the music is certainly a high point in it. The furry fandom literally only has Fox Amore as the only big known musical person in the whole fandom! Even though its filled with taleneted people. It just has a non existant music community really. Theres a massive drive for music creation in the brony fandom. I must admit sometimes its harder to talk to bronies on a normal level, but i really love talking to the kids and parents about it when im at cons (im 90% behind a table at cons so i get to talk to a lot of people that way). A lot of the non pony parents just accept it as a similar thing to marvel comics or such, theyre usually cool with it. Also the plushie market has exploded!!! As in custom made ones. Again the furry fandom is based solely on fursuit building and drawn artwork than it is for plushies. As much as the furries love plushies, there certainly is no where near as much demand of them as with bronies!
  9. US Southern. Cowboy country. but it could so so soooo easily be changed to UK West Country and be brilliant/hilarious.
  10. dont know either of them at all. well apart from Scorcher being on Bronies react a few times. Otherwise.... yeah dunno who these people are. Im still trying to work on doing something right on youtube =/
  11. loving the new banner! Sorry i went away for a bit ^^;

    1. Syndar

      Syndar

      welcome back ^^

  12. Alright mr nit picky. Geez. She didnt even exist when writing and animating began ok? The production was so far behind tge main series that they stuck her in for a tiny cameo as a background pony.
  13. team got an update from my old post: Mainstream team (1): -Blaze (Arcanine) -Storm (Zebstrika) -Pegasus (Rapidash) -Mudsdale -Torracat - #6 open reserve place (switched with members of Team 2) Team 2 (Reserves): - Charizard (Mega Y) - Noivern - Nidoking - Pyroar - Umbreon - Pidgeot Legendary pokemon: Reshiram, Lugia, Alt forme Giratina.
  14. Massive Disney and music fan here. Hands down its the Pastoral Symphony for me. Greek mythology and PEGASI!!!!!!! So MUCH PEGASUS! And this is before the brony fandom btw. Ive always had a fascination of the pegasus mythos, plus its our family mascot is a pegasus as we sail the type of racing yachts. So seieng the pegasi on the water in the film was always amazing!
  15. no longer a fan or play the games as I feel the hype died (my local comic shop is stocked full of FNAF merch though omg) but i enjoy the lore a lot and will normally rush to the first let's player video released once Scott releases a new game. I just suck at these games in general, so im happy to watch others play it and unlock everything, just so i can know more lore. Original foxy is best btw. The original game still holds out as the scariest one, still feels like a genuine old school horro game. I got nightmares from Bonnie. 3 is a close 2nd as Springtrap is really scary.
  16. its the nerd stereotyping. Because nerds sit at computers, eat snacks and watch screens all day or hide in dark basements playing board games or comparing comics etc. That old 1980s thinking, which is still common today. But the fact is the opposite really in majority. Though personally I have met people who tick each box; bad hygiene... yes sadly..... socially awkward...... very much so, majority ive met have been...... and quirky......myself. But I think Denz and I are more standard normal (no one is normal really) than most bronies we've met. We're kinda cool casual nerds. I love to cosplay and we both wear themed tshirts when at cons or meets, but we dont go out of our way to be as obnoxious as most others about being a brony. Ive been going subtle when out and about. Keychains of patches on my bag, the more subtle tshirt deisgns, jewelery, etc. Out of the 3 mentioned, I think im just more quirky. Im not socially awkward, kinda grew out of it, and the only time I could say ive ever had bad hygiene at brony events is due to singing, running around or just from standing up all day at my stall. I always have a can of deoderant in my bag for this reason. I overheat easily and just sweat. So apolgies to those who ever meet me and im just melting. ^^;
  17. So January sucks. Everyone knows that, but does anyone else have moments of Seasonal Affective Disorder? I certainly get it every odd year or so. Last year was fine, the year before was the most depressing time id ever had. This year it's come back but not super bad. More of a case that my other half has been coughing/ill/flu since New years and Ive not really been out of the house, walking to work doenst count either as Im stuck indoors the whole day anyway. Ontop of that, UK weather has been utterly miserable, more so than usual with no sunny breaks at all. The first little bit of sunlight was yesterday, but of course its gone again. Yeah ok so the UK is known for rain, but we can get sun like normal, but its been grey, cold and wet non stop. I'm going alittle stir crazy from it, gaining weight, feeling all round rubbish really. Have had to cancel and push back sushi dinners in the city because my partner always gets worse at weekends it seems =/ Plus him being ill puts him in a bad sulking mood so we tend to snap. so blagh! Anyone else feel down this time of year? Or do you hate the sun?
  18. I utterly hate the term "Pegasister". Im a female brony, a member of the brony community.
  19. was just reading the comments about relationships. from first hand experience, furries are no good at healthy long term relationships (talking in majoirty here). Ive had 3 furry boyfriends. All relationships turned out toxic in different ways. Current partner is 100% non furry. He loves animals and cartoons but not at all to furry level or thinking. And I think thats what I needed in life. a normal relationship and view on the world. He does hate furries in general, but lets me have that as my own thing if I want to. I still have the fursuit, but shes semi retired and stays in storage and I draw furry art still, which he kinda likes the generic nice stuff. but again, no interest in joining furries at all.
  20. I hate aliens in general so maybe theres a fear of the unknown or something in there from childhood. I literallty cant manage this mini game. Im just not that good. The goro milk cart chase is fine though. Theres only 2 of them in the reasonably same spot
  21. i use that all the time, but still i cannot beat the aliens. I just suck at that mini game so much ^^; they ALWAYS get to the cows
  22. majority of the time no i dont. its an eticate thing. but walking around town, im quite unfit and have had a cold for a while so i have to look like a mouth breather so i can actually breathe! im aware im doing it though. i suppose i pant ^^;
  23. Ive only ever really played 5. Looking at getting 6 because the other half is a massive civ fan. So much so that we now own the latest board gamer version. Which is good but lacks a few bits that im used to having in 5. He has told me there is a loooooong real life version of the PC game in board game form if I really want to do it properly.
  24. whne I was younger it was Mad Monster Mansion and the Pyramid in Gobi's Valley from Banjo Kazooie. hated them The game over in the Pyramid being the worst one x.x These days its Majora's Mask - the aliens....... I freaking HATE how much these terrify me. I think Ive only completed this once in my life legit, but hacked through it the other times. Wind Waker - the ghost ship. I think its the noise it makes when youre near it in the dead of night. Very ominous and creepy. Five Nights at Freddys (first one) - Bonnie. For some reason I have real issues with Bonnie the rabbit. Of all the jump scares and scary faces the animatronics make, he's the worst one. Just dead eyes with a gaping mouth of teeth I reckon. In ironically Im a furry with a fursuit, so no idea why tis scares me so. Resident Evil 4 - The regenerators. Need I say more? Resident Evil 7 - all of it set in the house and on the grounds. The 2nd half of the game loses the scare factor because of location change. Edit: one more I thought of. Freeing Clanker in Banjo Kazooie. Still to this day I have this fear of drowning where you unlock the chain in Clanker's Cavern. I think I failed way too many times when I was a kid and it was the worst thing ever. I did it the other week and still had this panic feeling when swimming Banjo back to the surface.
  25. got my hair cut short - fail pic of me at work (my selfie cam is still broken, so excuse the myspace style ones) having the front trimmed a bit as it turned out longer than I wanted and is just annoying LOL
