      T[it's easy! Just say hi, then ask how they are doing; if they aren't doing good then ask why and be a support to them. If they say "ok," then ask about if there is anything interesting that has happened or will happen. If they keep their answers really short still, then that would be the time to assume that they don't have too much time to talk. :P ]
