It looks like this club needs a bump. When it comes to individual characters in the show, I have never posted outside of the Applejack club, until now that is. Long story short, I was a fan of Sunny before being a fan of her was cool. I eagerly looked forward to her debut in the first film simply because I was enamored with both her pony and human designs. No, she wasn't the best character in the first film, and was probably one of the more underwhelming villains, but her redemption storyline in the sequel is one of MLP's best and saw her become one of the most well-loved characters in the franchise, and I for one couldn't be happier to see that after her lukewarm reception for the first movie. I do think her character needs a lot more fleshing out especially in terms of her past, but I'm sure we'll get plenty more insight into her character as time goes by. After all, she's basically the seventh mane character of the cast now, at least as far as the Equestria Girls spin-off is concerned. I am excited to see her in another big role in the upcoming Friendship Games. Still holding out some hope that she'll make a grand debut in Friendship is Magic sometime. She's gotta make amends with Princess Celestia at some point! And become the seventh element of harmony. No, but seriously, it WOULD be pretty cool if this Sunset or perhaps the human-born one would join FiM's mane cast.

Nope. The first MLP FiM forum I stumbled across was this one. I believe it was posted on one of Equestria Daily's Nightly Roundups a long time ago. I fell in love with the site and made this my pony fandom home. I stay away from all "chan" sites as a rule, and I'm just not that into Reddit. This is the only pony site I need to get my fix.

I didn't really notice anything new about the animation. Perhaps it looks better than the previous two movies, but I don't think the style itself has really changed. Though I could easily be wrong. As for Sunset Shimmer, I'm digging the new look, although I will also miss her old design. Her new outfit is lacking her (superultraextremeawesomazing) cutie mark which is strange, and overall it is a more unique attire than what the other mane characters wear, which makes Sunset stand out a lot more, for better or worse. I actually like her new half jacket and tight, sexier boots. Once again though, her design seems to conflict, but in a different way than before. Her previous design saw a color contrast, but this time it's the "theme" of what she's wearing. She retains her bad girl look with the black leather jacket and high heeled black boots, but yet she's got that frilly, feminine light blue dress on. I preferred her purple top with the cutie mark, but the rest of her new design is as good or better. Probably the biggest change that will be the hardest to adjust to is the change in her hair color. It's a lot paler than before, which makes sense for her heel-face turn if you think about it. Her hair isn't as "fiery" looking as it was before.

You don't have to participate in the fandom to be a fan of the show, and you can choose whether or not you want to be identified as a brony. After all, it's just a fan-made label for the fanbase. You participate in a fandom to share your enthusiasm and passion for something with other people, and to discuss the latest news surrounding it. If you're no longer finding that enjoyable for whatever reason, then you could always just avoid participating. But it sounds to me like you're dwelling on the fact that there's a less savory side of the fandom that you don't agree with, and if so, it might be better just to "filter" that side of the fandom out. I hate to break it to you, but ALL fandoms have their share of people that you aren't going to like for whatever reason. You shouldn't let those individuals put a damper on your interest in the product or keep you away from the positive side of the fandom. I don't always like or agree with everything I come across in this fandom either, but hey, it's the internet, you'll encounter it just about anywhere. Take all you see and read with a grain of salt and just enjoy the good stuff.

Eh, the only part about that synopsis list that I was hoping to hold some truth to it was the part about Sunset Shimmer appearing in the finale. I'm not exactly sure how that would pan out, but I like Sunset and I want me some pony version of her, so I'm just going to be wishful in thinking that it would be great if they could pull that off. Here's hoping that we aren't getting three Rarity episodes almost back to back like the fake list seemed to believe. I love Rarity, but that's a lot of her in succession. The Christmas episode better be AJ focused. There's been a severe lack of her so far this season, and I won't stand for more smart aleck "background pony" remarks from the peanut gallery, especially after she basically dominated seasons 3 and 4. Okay, I'm extremely biased, but still.

The only Funko figure I currently have is Applejack; always gotta get my favorite first. I won't buy any toy sets unless I can get my fave first. No AJ = boycott. Now that I know the CMC are on the way, I am pretty excited to get an Apple Bloom figure and perhaps start collecting all of the different ponies that I like. As nice as these figures are though, they are incredibly pricey, so I've no desire to get a complete set of every character.

I absolutely NEED the Applejack plushie, yet it isn't even available for pre-order. The rest of the Mane Six are, so I'm a bit salty. Ah well. I can wait as long as it takes for a glorious high quality plush of my favorite pony. <3

Of the common answers to this thread, I actually think Flash Sentry is a harmless addition to the cast overall. Bland, but unless he actually "steals" Twilight, then I have no problem with his presence. Flim and Flam are cons, but at least they've provided some entertaining songs and their dishonest nature makes them great foils for Applejack. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are pretty one-dimensional, but their cruelty makes it that much easier to root for the Crusaders against them. Prince Blueblood was a jerk to Rarity, but I think she's faced worse, and his prissiness made for good comedy. These characters are alright. There is absolutely nothing redeeming or even remotely likable or entertaining about Jet Set and Upper Crust, so I think I have to choose them. A close second might have to be Snips and Snails. Their stupidity makes for some mild amusement at best, but all too often their brief moments feel like the show dragging on because they're just obnoxious and embarrassing to watch.

Rainbow Rocks did set the bar fairly high, so it won't be all that easy to top it. I enjoyed both of the first two Equestria Girls movies, so I have little reason to doubt that this will be another enjoyable experience, whether it tops the previous title or not. I think Friendship Games has all of the potential to be just as good if not better than Rainbow Rocks. I already like the premise better than that of the first two films.
