I've never been a big fan of Twilight becoming a princess. I thought it was, again, too much too soon, and since they did pull the trigger on the idea I assumed they would capitalize on it, but they failed. Her status as a princess was ignored almost completely until the end of the season in the finale, in which she had to relearn the same lesson she learned in Magical Mystery Cure already, for some reason.
O good god how many time to I have to repeat myself in this case it wasn't twilight learning a lesson it was discord. it was a test for twilight not a lesson! all the key episodes were that way!
