    what is with this idea that everything must be explained? I really don't get it. its a different world. in this world do you see people explaining every aspect of this world no! therefore it becomes odd when the inhabitance of the different world start explaining things. so if unicorns are a normal every day thing nobody bothers to explain how they got here cause they simply are. what is unrealistic is unicorns being common day thing and the next day being gushed over for being rare. consistency is the key to "realism" Gracho Marks glasses do fit you keep forgetting pinkie pies established ability to break the forth wall. she is the only pony to do it on purpose!

    you could go the star wars route and just not explain stuff. after all how many people that drive a car really know how it works?

    I don't know find a reason any reason to party sounds like pinkie pie to me. perhaps it as during a time of the year where there was not a good excuse to party so she made one up. that is pinkie pie. the bell ting yea that was kind of dumb.

    a plausible world that outside the writers no one will give to bits about. people need something familiar so its just this strange place that's way to different.

    so Pinky Pie went to the real world and picked up a par! the show has real world references in it to make it more comfortable for the viewer so he or she can see things that are familiar in all the new and strange stuff.

    I think you will find if you try to hard to make the "prefect" SIFI world it could very well end up boring. do you really want to deal with just one star system or one generational ship? Look at star trek its far from perfect or even self consistent yet its popular then you look at 2001 a space odyssey a much more accurate movie but not as popular and in some ways kind of boring.

    perhaps their language is noting like ours. it just gets translated so us poor humans can understand it. next you will complain when showing a movie about japan they speak English? that and its clear that the world has glasses rarity has them from time to time, so what is so wrong with novelty glasses? also beards do exist.

    Sigh guys Daring's plan wasn't to get and destroy rings it was to destroy the temple itself. the ring getting captured was just a way into the temple.

    Some folks that really like a form of entertainment are prone to analyze it Or over analyze it. its part of how some folks enjoy the show. its telling their thoughts and ideas. if you think they are telling you what to think perhaps it is you that don't know what to think or are trying to lash out at something or someone cause you feel bad about watching such a pointless show about multicolored ponies. or I am completely off base. perhaps you cant sand folks "wasting their time" analyzing a cartoon. the big key to that one is its their time to invest and plainly they don't think its a waste of time or pointless. if you don't like my little pony reviews here is a good idea don't watch or read them. but please do not tell someone else that what they do is pointless. because what is Pointless is relative.

    Perceived Backsliding of character development is always disappointing and to much pointless randomness gets old fast. pinkie can be pointlessly random in small amounts. the random holiday so she can throw a party is classic pinkie pie, getting so out of focus over frosting she forgets about her best friends not so much.

    that's one is not so easy for me. I would love to be able to breath under water and just explore all the wonders under there. but to Fly O my! fly because breathing water dose not automaticly include pressure support or anything for the cold or even seeing underwater.
