  (arn't vacuum tubes used in most old amps?) anyway, if you want bass i highly recommend anything from the brand 'raveland'! they make amazing subwoofers!

  i AHTE basses... and yes i have a 1963 vaccum tube amplifier, they are the best for jazz and blues.. so warm and soft.. buck transistors! also they are the best for classical music, i was trying to remove bass response.. i have a listening room not a disco XD
