  1. Worst daring do episode imo, writers are really trying to push a belief that. "If you talk to someone, everything will be a okay. Everyone is friends at the end of the day. HAPPY HAPPY! RAINBOWS!" delusional belief. Season 9 has been one huge wreck of a season right now and if the finale ends like how this episode ended I predict there's probably gonna be alot of hate directed towards the writers. It's heading down the GoT road...
  2. This episode shouldn't even exist, as much as I think twiliight is best pony I thought she should of asked dash if she would of liked to coach the cheerleading squad instead of shoving her into something she has no interest in doing. Rainbow Dash's argument against coaching was extremely justifiable.
  3. yeah... this episode does not fly with me at all with the way it headed at the end. Scootaloo should of thought of leaving ponyville as a way to expand business for the cmc instead of seeing it as losing her friends, assuming the internet is a thing in equestria (Just hope ponies don't stumble across the mlp tumblr pages) it would be easy to keep in communication with sweetie belle and apple bloom. It's not like the cmc is a three pony job anyway, if it was then I couldn't see the entire business running for another 5 years. The cmc should be able to work with just 1 pony if it want's to be seen as a good business. I mean, did Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle of Scootaloo not take into account for the eventuality of the loss of a member? You need to plan for this stuff in case it happens....
  4. Interesting question, has there ever been someone who has worked on the show but doesn't like bronies, it's interesting because we hear alot about the people who embrace bronies but has there ever been an instance where one of the show staff has hated bronies and if so why? I'm gonna assume that if there was any they would mostly be ex-writers for the show or something the lines of fired staff
  5. Just to add on to my previous rant on this dumpster fire of a finale
  6. Probably one of the worst endings to an mlp episode, period. There was so much you can do with the idea of a mean mane 6 in a future installment, hasbro could of took this opportunity to create a episode that would be hyped throughout the hiatus to see the conclusion to a mean 6 arc instead of wrapping everything up and pushing a message at the end of the episode. You could of had a ending where the mean 6 defeats chrysalis but in a future episode she comes to the mane 6 and they come together to defeat the common enemy.
  7. Oh sure when I'm looking for a job I have to go find one, but in the case of the cutie mark crusaders they are pulled out of education and given a job on the spot. If this episode has shown anything is that twilight approves child labour, bet the crusaders don't earn a buck (lol, puns)
  8. Scales, Fire for breath, Tail, Wings... nah, I think he's a duck
  9. Now that Spike has wings more faster than a bloke downing a can of red bull it's only a matter of time before we get an episode where dash and spike will be flying we each other in some sort of competition.
  10. My Little Pony manages to flop again, you'd think that Starlight and Sunburst would of come to the realization that the source of the problem would be there relationship with there parents almost immediately, the friendship problem was literally banging the drumkits screaming notice me right in front of them since the start of the episode. Instead of resolution we get 15 minutes of filler of Starlight and Sunburst faffing around blind to the real problem, Season 8 has been 1 big disappointment so far with a few episodes that I have liked.
  11. The truth is the fandom is already dead, unless you're a dedicated fan it will be inevitable you'll just stop watching the show entirely and move on in your life.
  12. Mixed feelings about this finale, I like it but on the other hand I hate it. I loved how each of the characters went on their separate missions to get an item and I liked the scenarios they where put through, revealing Starswirl was a bonus but I don't think they executed it properly. Starswirl defeated the pony of shadows by banishing him to limbo to gods knows where but Twilight thought it would be a great plan to set Starswirl and his merry men free but was unaware of the fact that doing so would bring back the pony of shadows? I thought Twilight was supposed to be smart, a pony with a brain the size of a mountain should be at least able to realize the repercussions of her actions. I don't think Twilight was trying to be smart here, I think all she wanted was to see her idol. I like Michael Jackson you don't see me walking up to his grave with a shovel and deliberator with hopes that he will jump to his feet and shake my hands. And if I thought this trainwreck of a finale couldn't manage to destroy itself even more Starlight is pushed into the spotlight again and she's given the speech that maybe using a more diplomatic soultion would be more effective than setting up the pony equivalent of a ghost trap from ghostbusters. Why couldn't twilight suggest that? She is the princess of friendship, she's used it in the past so why didn't she bring it up to Starswirl? Is she really that stupid in this finale or does she have her hooves so far up starswirl that her right hand pony has to step in and bring up the point? I'd give it this, it's better than the awful movie that came out earlier this month
  13. I think the smartest way to deal with a VA death or departure would be make a episode where zecora alters that ponies voice through a magic potion or twilight altering her/his voice with magic, therefore transitioning from one voice to another with damage control
  14. I think when it comes to films Critics tend to look at how well made a film was made while the audience is just looking for a fun film. A film can win oscars or a grammy but in the end that's just an award for making the Critics love the film. But the thing is people will go to the critics to decide to see the film or not instead of the audience. Who would you pick to get an opinion on a comic? Some random guy walking down the streets or a comic book collector working in a comic store? Words can hurt ratings and in the dark cynical world we live in it can hurt the film by stopping people from watching it
  15. MLP Movie Review My Little Pony: The Movie is a mess that hides itself under the well drawn backgrounds and locations of the movie. Like I predicted from seeing the trailers, this movie was going to be beautiful but the story would doom it to low ratings. The first issue I have with the movie is that it feels like an extended MLP episode, everything in the movie could of been covered in 21 minutes but the film has filler and unneeded lackluster musical numbers thrown in to extend the running time. Another thing that the movie does badly is the story, it's too basic. I'm not saying it needs to be lord of the rings or the matrix but the writers could of been more risky with the plot. I have watched all of the mlp episodes to date and I'm pretty sure the writers could come up with something less cliche than this. You have this GIANT world filled with lore and vast amount of creatures and you stick to a plot line about some villain trying to takeover the world? Speaking of cliches this film is filled to the brim with them, everything you see in a typical movie is in this. The obvious evil villain, the plan to dominate the world, the villains sidekick just there for laughs, the sudden moment of hopefulness and the bad guy being defeated. Like I said before the writers can do better than this, they're playing it too safe. When the films not trying to throw everything but the kitchen sink at you it does have some unique moments to it, but the problem here is that they're only on screen for a couple of minutes before we move on to the next creature that bumps into the mane 6 on their quest. One minute we are with a cat called capper who wants to use the mane 6 to wipe away his debt (Bioshock Infinite anyone?) and then the next minute we are on a ship with pirates working for the storm king and then after that where in an underwater city that screams bargain atlantica with a mermaid like creature. It's like the mane 6 rented the locations for 5 minutes and needed to get through filming as quickly as possible, because of this the film can't develop the new characters properly and they just become so forgettable at the end of the movie. When the film is trying to make undeveloped characters it's also rendering some of them completely stupid, take the storm king for example who was shown to be a powerful king who set cities on fire and forced people to work with him in the comics only to be turned into a big stupid oaf in the film that's at threatening as a teletubby. And if you thought maybe tempest could redeem the film a bit you're wrong, Tempest it just another bland villain with an uninteresting backstory that only gets hit by the stupid reform cliche my little pony has a thing for at the end. This film is Garbage, the only thing I can give it points for is it's beautiful art style. 3/10
  16. Prison, given that the design of the prison was created to jail a pony it could be assumed that the bars would be wider than expected creating a flaw in the design that would allow me to escape. Then you have the advantage of humans having hands than hooves which gives me the ability to climb the building, horses and ponies would be grounded giving me the upperhand. Taking notes of the structure and layout of the prison upon entry a breakout could be a walk in the park so I would go to pony prison.
  17. I see it all the time in mlp, some villain becomes very powerful and suddenly all it takes is a simple lecture by Twilight, Starlight telling the antagonist how forgiving people and making friends with them will simply solve things. If an all powerful warlord came knocking on my door I would beat him up instead of inviting him inside and talking things over while having a brew and watching the latest episode of whatever's on TV. I'm not saying mlp should be teaching more violent solutions (As much as I dream of the day Twilight pulls out a gun on Chrysalis and shoot's her) and I'm just saying MLP should be teaching kids to be more smart with who they let into their life. If someone betrays you or tries to hurt you or one of your friends, lock the door and keep them out of your life
  18. the reason why everything went wrong for fluttershy is because she had the wrong people. Maybe if she had 3 LANDSCAPING contractors instead things would of progressed a lot quicker.
  19. If anyone has seen me play the sims it's pretty obvious why it's not the wisest idea for me to be in charge of taking care with babies.
  20. After many days of waiting for the beginning of the seventh season of friendship of magic the premiere finally dropped with 2 episodes called Celestial Advice and All Bottled Up. The first you will notice is that these episodes are not connected unlike the other season premiere's that the show has had in the past. It's like the boat scene from willy wonka and the chocolate factory, you are thrown into this sadistic and creepy tunnel which is more or less the equivalent of a sadists version of Bubbleworks then the next minute, poof. It goes back to the factory tour with little to no mention of past events. So, let's start of with the 1st episode. Celestial Advice is basically Twilight stressing on where to send starlight glimmer due to her catastrophizing the many fantasies where she see's starlight going to after she sends here away. One where she goes with thorax to his changeling's hive, one where she partners up with ember and another where she studies magic with sunburst (watch out Twilight). I wouldn't call it a action heavy episode, it's mostly Twilight talking with Celestia about starlight's future. It's like watching a house of commons debate, only with a few moments where the episode decides to throw some action at you. Celestia get's a lot of screen time in this episode, in fact she's pretty much in this everywhere. I guess the fan pandering for a Celestia oriented episode got to the writers after all. As much as this is a dialogue heavy episode it does have a really good story to it, on top of that it does give a good backstory to Celestia's decision to send Twilight away to ponyville but it does have me wondering if Celestia got sent away from some place to take in charge of Canterlot. Can it be a possibility that Luna is the mentor of Celestia? It doesn't really state how old the princesses are in the mlp universe. For all we know Celestia could be younger than Luna, young enough to be her student years ago. Oh yeah and while this is happening Starlight and her merry band of musketeer's are awarded medals for single handedly collapsing the entire changeling empire and turning them into what I can only describe as the offspring of He-man and a mutated bug. We also have a small little "gag" where Thorax can't get his medal over his head because of his ridiculously giant horns that put the himalayas to shame in terms of height. Don't know how anyone could see this a joke, how in Celestia's Canterlot will Thorax get the medal off? The only option I can think off is for Thorax to slice his horns off just to get the damn thing off his head. So that's pretty much it for the 1st episode to the premiere, now let's cover the second episode, All Bottled Up. In my opinion, All Bottled Up is better than the 1st episode in ever aspect. Heck we even get our first musical number (which I will get to later.) This episode is focused mainly on Starlight and Trixie and pushes the mane 6 to one side, in fact it doesn't really put the mane 6 in a situation or problem to solve. The episode just lobs Twilight and the gang on the friendship express and transports them to a escape room (an escape room is where you have to solve puzzles, open doors/cupboards/etc with codes to escape a room in the fastest time possible, in layman's terms: Twilight Sparkle's forte) Meanwhile back at Twilight's Castle, Starlight and Trixie are practicing magic spells. Trixie manages to make Twilight's Sparkle's huge map table "disappear" (or as Starlight corrects her, teleport) and the two must go find it without Starlight going all out on Trixie and ripping her a new one. This is where the episode in my opinion has the better story than the 1st episode. It's not some happy go adventure to find a map in equestria it has some conflict between Starlight and Trixie and it shows us how Starlight deals with herself bottling up her anger (which she does literally btw). It shows great chemistry between both characters with Trixie being as narcissistic as usual and Starlight as her mentor trying to tolerate her behaviour and attitude towards her at times. Eventually Trixie becomes suspicious of the bags that Starlight has been carrying around and decided to investigate. Trixie accidentally sends one of the bottles shooting into the sky like a bottle rocket as the bottle comes crashing back down like a north korean missile test. The anger then possesses the minds of Granny Smith, Bulk Biceps and some pony the writers just pulled out of thin air for the sake of having a third pony. The 3 ponies gang up on poor Trixie and shout at her with Stralight's angry thoughts in her head. (It's a good thing the anger only affected the ponies' mind's or Trixie would of been as ripped open as a teddy bear after a 3 year old has used it) Back at the escape room the mane 6 finally find the key to the escape door, just before they can finish the game and head off home they all break into song and sing about being best friends with one another. Because the song was more dragged on than a lord of the rings ending to Rainbow Dash's disappointment they find out they didn't break the record and went over the time by two seconds. At Ponyville Starlight eventually tells Trixie the truth as the magical anger spell goes away and Granny Smith, Bulk Biceps and [Insert Pony Name Here] are returned back to there normal state. They find the map inside the spa (which they don't show) as the two bring it back to the castle with the help of Spike. The Mane 6 return home as Starlight tells Twilight about the friendship lesson she learned today --Insert Proud Twilight Here-- Like I said earlier on, this episode has the better narrative than the 1st episode which took a more relaxed pace. One exception being that the mane 6 were no use to the story and they could of had so much potential, this would of been the perfect chance to do some character development to Twilight and her friendship with Trixie as well as the other 5. I like how Spike was involved in the 1st episode alot and how he reacted to the different fantasy catastrophe's that Twilight could think of being the worrisome pony she is at times. We even get to hear Celestia laugh for the 1st time which got a laugh from me.
  21. With the season 7 premiere minutes away, how do you like to watch newly released episodes. Through stream, video or TV? Video is best for me, don't like to watch via stream because a.) I get distracted by the people in the chat or b.) the video might crash on my end. Plus on top of all that the quality can sometimes dip unlike video where unless there is a problem with my connection the video will play smoothly.
  22. You did say Discord would undo any injuries that may be inflicted, so there's no repercussions if you think about it. Only thing that could happen is you could embarrass that certain pony but a good talking could solve the issue. (BTW, the rules did not state when you could tell the pony that it was Discord's doing) so by telling them out of Discord's hearing during or after the dare you could be killing 2 birds with 1 stone. I pick Twily
