  1. Worst daring do episode imo, writers are really trying to push a belief that. "If you talk to someone, everything will be a okay. Everyone is friends at the end of the day. HAPPY HAPPY! RAINBOWS!" delusional belief. Season 9 has been one huge wreck of a season right now and if the finale ends like how this episode ended I predict there's probably gonna be alot of hate directed towards the writers. It's heading down the GoT road...

  2. This episode shouldn't even exist, as much as I think twiliight is best pony I thought she should of asked dash if she would of liked to coach the cheerleading squad instead of shoving her into something she has no interest in doing. Rainbow Dash's argument against coaching was extremely justifiable.

  3. yeah... this episode does not fly with me at all with the way it headed at the end. Scootaloo should of thought of leaving ponyville as a way to expand business for the cmc instead of seeing it as losing her friends, assuming the internet is a thing in equestria (Just hope ponies don't stumble across the mlp tumblr pages) it would be easy to keep in communication with sweetie belle and apple bloom. It's not like the cmc is a three pony job anyway, if it was then I couldn't see the entire business running for another 5 years. The cmc should be able to work with just 1 pony if it want's to be seen as a good business. I mean, did Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle of Scootaloo not take into account for the eventuality of the loss of a member? You need to plan for this stuff in case it happens....

  4. Interesting question, has there ever been someone who has worked on the show but doesn't like bronies, it's interesting because we hear alot about the people who embrace bronies but has there ever been an instance where one of the show staff has hated bronies and if so why?

I'm gonna assume that if there was any they would mostly be ex-writers for the show or something the lines of fired staff

  5. Just to add on to my previous rant on this dumpster fire of a finale

    Spoiler

The part where the bargain mane 6 where battling it out with cozy was just plain stupid, Cozy was trying to manipulate the people into thinking the young 6 were trying to destroy the magic. But then someone in the crow goes "Hur durp.. lookie here, that pony was saving his friendsszzzz. guuu, that must meanz that they're actually trying to save the world, du huh" why in the Buffalo did they get conclusion. It's like if you shot an enemy in an fps and someone from there faction came to aid them and you're like "They're being saved, so they must be good!" like where in gods name do you get that conclusion. This really bothers me and I can't believe the idiot writers who are probably 9 years old would let this be a "climax" this was 1 giant middle finger to the face honestly and it felt like a cheap way to bring everything to a close. If this is the way my little pony is going I would be more than glad to see it sink and burn into the fiery disaster it is already.

  6. Spoiler

Yet again MLP shoots it's self in the leg with another poorly executed finale. (This one was worser than last seasons). I hated how the episode threw the CMC away as soon as it brought them into the plot and made them as useful as a plane with no wings. The mane 6 was pushed aside, it was like the writers didn't want them in the story so they threw them in a room for the majority of the episode. Tirek was made incredibly weak (the bad guy from the best season finale Twilight's Kingdom, who completely destroyed twilight's library, caused absolute mayhem and had a giant battle sequence with twilight) all it took was pinkie to annoy him and he wanted them gone. Also the bars weren't that small on tireks cage, he could of just stepped through them and destroyed the Mane 6 (or at least have an epic fight sequence which the episode is in dire need of as it rests on it's hospital bed on life support with IV's being pumped into it with a incompetent doctor bouncing on it's chest like it was a bouncy castle)

This is possibly the worst season finale yet

  7. Probably one of the worst endings to an mlp episode, period. There was so much you can do with the idea of a mean mane 6 in a future installment, hasbro could of took this opportunity to create a episode that would be hyped throughout the hiatus to see the conclusion to a mean 6 arc instead of wrapping everything up and pushing a message at the end of the episode. You could of had a ending where the mean 6 defeats chrysalis but in a future episode she comes to the mane 6 and they come together to defeat the common enemy.

  8. Oh sure when I'm looking for a job I have to go find one, but in the case of the cutie mark crusaders they are pulled out of education and given a job on the spot.

If this episode has shown anything is that twilight approves child labour, bet the crusaders don't earn a buck (lol, puns)

  9. Now that Spike has wings more faster than a bloke downing a can of red bull it's only a matter of time before we get an episode where dash and spike will be flying we each other in some sort of competition.

  10. My Little Pony manages to flop again, you'd think that Starlight and Sunburst would of come to the realization that the source of the problem would be there relationship with there parents almost immediately, the friendship problem was literally banging the drumkits screaming notice me right in front of them since the start of the episode. Instead of resolution we get 15 minutes of filler of Starlight and Sunburst faffing around blind to the real problem, Season 8 has been 1 big disappointment so far with a few episodes that I have liked.

  11. Mixed feelings about this finale, I like it but on the other hand I hate it. I loved how each of the characters went on their separate missions to get an item and I liked the scenarios they where put through, revealing Starswirl was a bonus but I don't think they executed it properly. Starswirl defeated the pony of shadows by banishing him to limbo to gods knows where but Twilight thought it would be a great plan to set Starswirl and his merry men free but was unaware of the fact that doing so would bring back the pony of shadows?

I thought Twilight was supposed to be smart, a pony with a brain the size of a mountain should be at least able to realize the repercussions of her actions. I don't think Twilight was trying to be smart here, I think all she wanted was to see her idol. I like Michael Jackson you don't see me walking up to his grave with a shovel and deliberator with hopes that he will jump to his feet and shake my hands.

And if I thought this trainwreck of a finale couldn't manage to destroy itself even more Starlight is pushed into the spotlight again and she's given the speech that maybe using a more diplomatic soultion would be more effective than setting up the pony equivalent of a ghost trap from ghostbusters. Why couldn't twilight suggest that? She is the princess of friendship, she's used it in the past so why didn't she bring it up to Starswirl? Is she really that stupid in this finale or does she have her hooves so far up starswirl that her right hand pony has to step in and bring up the point?

I'd give it this, it's better than the awful movie that came out earlier this month

And with Pony, that's really the only thing that should matter. This film was never going to be a critical darling. It was never going to be a box office hit. I was actually expecting a lower audience rating ... 80% ... I'm happy to say I was wrong there ...

I think when it comes to films Critics tend to look at how well made a film was made while the audience is just looking for a fun film. A film can win oscars or a grammy but in the end that's just an award for making the Critics love the film. But the thing is people will go to the critics to decide to see the film or not instead of the audience. Who would you pick to get an opinion on a comic? Some random guy walking down the streets or a comic book collector working in a comic store? Words can hurt ratings and in the dark cynical world we live in it can hurt the film by stopping people from watching it

  13. MLP Movie Review

My Little Pony: The Movie is a mess that hides itself under the well drawn backgrounds and locations of the movie. Like I predicted from seeing the trailers, this movie was going to be beautiful but the story would doom it to low ratings. The first issue I have with the movie is that it feels like an extended MLP episode, everything in the movie could of been covered in 21 minutes but the film has filler and unneeded lackluster musical numbers thrown in to extend the running time.

Another thing that the movie does badly is the story, it's too basic. I'm not saying it needs to be lord of the rings or the matrix but the writers could of been more risky with the plot. I have watched all of the mlp episodes to date and I'm pretty sure the writers could come up with something less cliche than this. You have this GIANT world filled with lore and vast amount of creatures and you stick to a plot line about some villain trying to takeover the world?

Speaking of cliches this film is filled to the brim with them, everything you see in a typical movie is in this. The obvious evil villain, the plan to dominate the world, the villains sidekick just there for laughs, the sudden moment of hopefulness and the bad guy being defeated. Like I said before the writers can do better than this, they're playing it too safe. When the films not trying to throw everything but the kitchen sink at you it does have some unique moments to it, but the problem here is that they're only on screen for a couple of minutes before we move on to the next creature that bumps into the mane 6 on their quest.

One minute we are with a cat called capper who wants to use the mane 6 to wipe away his debt (Bioshock Infinite anyone?) and then the next minute we are on a ship with pirates working for the storm king and then after that where in an underwater city that screams bargain atlantica with a mermaid like creature. It's like the mane 6 rented the locations for 5 minutes and needed to get through filming as quickly as possible, because of this the film can't develop the new characters properly and they just become so forgettable at the end of the movie.

When the film is trying to make undeveloped characters it's also rendering some of them completely stupid, take the storm king for example who was shown to be a powerful king who set cities on fire and forced people to work with him in the comics only to be turned into a big stupid oaf in the film that's at threatening as a teletubby. And if you thought maybe tempest could redeem the film a bit you're wrong, Tempest it just another bland villain with an uninteresting backstory that only gets hit by the stupid reform cliche my little pony has a thing for at the end.

This film is Garbage, the only thing I can give it points for is it's beautiful art style.
    3/10

  14. Prison, given that the design of the prison was created to jail a pony it could be assumed that the bars would be wider than expected creating a flaw in the design that would allow me to escape. Then you have the advantage of humans having hands than hooves which gives me the ability to climb the building, horses and ponies would be grounded giving me the upperhand.

Taking notes of the structure and layout of the prison upon entry a breakout could be a walk in the park so I would go to pony prison.

  15. I see it all the time in mlp, some villain becomes very powerful and suddenly all it takes is a simple lecture by Twilight, Starlight telling the antagonist how forgiving people and making friends with them will simply solve things. If an all powerful warlord came knocking on my door I would beat him up instead of inviting him inside and talking things over while having a brew and watching the latest episode of whatever's on TV. I'm not saying mlp should be teaching more violent solutions (As much as I dream of the day Twilight pulls out a gun on Chrysalis and shoot's her) and I'm just saying MLP should be teaching kids to be more smart with who they let into their life.

If someone betrays you or tries to hurt you or one of your friends, lock the door and keep them out of your life

  16. With the season 7 premiere minutes away, how do you like to watch newly released episodes. Through stream, video or TV?

Video is best for me, don't like to watch via stream because a.) I get distracted by the people in the chat or b.) the video might crash on my end. Plus on top of all that the quality can sometimes dip unlike video where unless there is a problem with my connection the video will play smoothly.

  17. You did say Discord would undo any injuries that may be inflicted, so there's no repercussions if you think about it. Only thing that could happen is you could embarrass that certain pony but a good talking could solve the issue. (BTW, the rules did not state when you could tell the pony that it was Discord's doing) so by telling them out of Discord's hearing during or after the dare you could be killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
