Internet gf/bf is much more complicated, it requires a lot of effort to keep such relationship "alive" + it requires a lot of trust. Most times such relationships fail, but my RL friend "was" with his girlfriend online for two years, then he moved to her to UK and soon they are getting married. It's not dumb. But it's very, very hard. So far it's the only "online" relationship that I personally saw that was succesful.

I guess saying they are dumb is kinda harsh. And I suppose it depends on what sort of person you are. Personally, I don't like to be away from a partner for too long because I like to be around someone. I'm not clinging to the 24/7, of course. People need their space to be with family and friends and do their own thing, but being so far apart is just an unbearable prospect for me and it has caused me a lot of grief in the past. Some people can take it a lot better then I can.

I understand and I don't blame You, I can imagine how hard it can be. It would be hard for most people, like I said such relationship require even more than RL one if You don't want to end it. I have few friends in such relationship so I hear what they are struggling with. I hope they will succeed in their efforts though.
